📋 Description

  • • As a Billing & Posting Resolution Advocate at TruBridge, you will be at the forefront of managing and optimizing the crucial revenue cycle functions within a healthcare setting. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial health of the organization by meticulously overseeing claims production, billing processes, follow-up procedures, and collections, all while maintaining strict adherence to third-party payer regulations. You will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement across key revenue cycle indicators, including Accounts Receivable (A/R) days, cash collection goals, posting accuracy, denial management, and underpayment resolution. Your expertise will directly impact patient account management and the overall efficiency of our financial operations.
  • • You will possess a comprehensive understanding of the entire revenue cycle, enabling you to tackle and resolve complex, outstanding claims with confidence and precision. This involves providing proactive oversight and direction to ensure that all accounts are billed accurately and in a timely manner, minimizing delays and maximizing reimbursement.
  • • A significant aspect of this role involves operational oversight and mentorship. You will guide and develop the Billing Coordinator, nurturing their skills and ensuring they are well-equipped to handle their responsibilities effectively. This leadership component is key to building a high-performing team.
  • • Staying ahead of industry changes is paramount. You will maintain current knowledge of hospital billing systems, government payer systems (such as Medicare and Medicaid), and all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. A deep understanding of third-party reimbursement policies and practices is essential for navigating the complexities of healthcare finance.
  • • This position demands strong leadership capabilities. You will be responsible for managing, training, and motivating employees, fostering a professional and productive work environment. Your ability to interact effectively with executive management, healthcare professionals, and third-party insurance carriers will be critical to your success.
  • • You will lead initiatives aimed at maximizing operational efficiency and optimizing reimbursement. This includes closely monitoring denial trends, providing insightful education and reporting to relevant departments on the impact of denials, and implementing strategies to mitigate them. Your analytical skills will be used to review statistical reports, identify operational deficiencies, and develop and implement corrective action plans.
  • • Proactive communication and escalation of potential claims, unbilled accounts, or other critical issues to the Director are vital. You will act as a key liaison, ensuring that leadership is informed of any challenges or opportunities that could affect the revenue cycle.
  • • The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent leadership and self-direction, demonstrating sound judgment in handling difficult situations. Strong organizational, time management, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills are essential for managing the multifaceted demands of this role.
  • • Upholding the confidentiality of patient information is non-negotiable. You will ensure that all processes and interactions strictly adhere to privacy regulations and company policies.
  • • Active participation in all required meetings and activities is expected. Maintaining professional affiliations will keep you abreast of current trends, legislative changes, and industry best practices, ensuring TruBridge remains at the forefront of revenue cycle management.
  • • You will serve as the lead point of contact and liaise effectively with facility management, building strong working relationships and ensuring seamless collaboration.
  • • Responsibilities also include managing employee time and attendance, coordinating scheduling demands, and ensuring the accuracy of customer invoices, including their monthly creation. A thorough understanding of contract terms and ensuring compliance within those parameters is also a key function.
  • • You will perform all duties as outlined in the Management Expectations List and any other assigned tasks, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the company's success.
