- • Respond to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, and perform repairs and planned maintenance (PM) on customers' basic biomedical equipment under supervision.
- • Perform safety and environmental inspections on biomedical equipment as assigned.
- • Assist more experienced technicians with basic and more complex repairs and troubleshooting tasks.
- • Communicate effectively with teammates, colleagues, and customers to ensure resolution of issues and maintain strong customer relations.
- • Adhere to GE HealthCare policies, procedures, hospital protocols, and complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- • Maintain daily communication with customers as directed to ensure proper follow-up and service satisfaction.
- • Implement GE and customer facility contracts to support business goals and service objectives.
- • Work as part of a local team to deliver efficient service across all assigned accounts within the designated area.
- • Be available for on-call responsibilities, including weekends and after-hours emergencies, once trained.
- • Document all repair actions, submit reports and summaries according to schedule, and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
- • Maintain proper care, calibration, and inventory of tools, test equipment, and spare parts.
- • Enhance and maintain technical knowledge of current medical equipment standards, codes, and safety procedures through formal instruction and training.
- • Utilize manuals, technical support, Facetime, and online resources to resolve equipment issues during PM and repair tasks.
- • Comply with Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety requirements, and all applicable regulatory standards.
- • Follow the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, and Quality Goals; complete all required Quality and Compliance training by deadlines.
- • Identify and immediately report any customer quality or compliance concerns to the Quality Organization.
- • Ensure all work orders, vendor service reports, time and expense reports, PM activities, and purchase orders are documented accurately and on time.
- • Maintain 100% calibration of all test equipment on schedule.
- • Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted; frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch, squat, kneel, crawl, sit, and stand for extended periods.
- • Reach at, above, and below shoulder level; flex and extend neck; demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity.
- • Possess specific vision abilities including color vision, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
