- • The BR Payments Ops Specialist role is critical to ensuring seamless, secure, and compliant payment operations for Sportygroup B.V. across Brazil, directly impacting customer trust, transaction success rates, and regulatory adherence in a high-growth fintech environment.
- • This position bridges technical payment systems, local financial partners, and customer-facing teams to maintain operational excellence and drive continuous improvement in payment flows.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting end-to-end payment processes such as deposits, withdrawals, refunds, and reconciliations while resolving customer queries with precision and urgency.
- • The specialist will actively collaborate with local payment providers and banks to troubleshoot and resolve transaction-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
- • Real-time transaction monitoring is a core function, requiring vigilance to detect, investigate, and escalate suspicious or potentially fraudulent activity in alignment with risk and compliance protocols.
- • The role involves analyzing customer payment behavior and trends to identify friction points and recommend data-informed improvements to payment methods and user flows.
- • Operational excellence is driven through documenting workflows, creating and updating SOPs, and contributing to process enhancements that increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- • The specialist will support the integration and testing of new payment technologies and solutions, helping Sportygroup stay at the forefront of payment innovation in Brazil.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in payments, financial operations, fintech, or e-commerce environments.
- • Fluency in English (written and spoken) to effectively communicate with global teams and external partners.
- • Solid understanding of payment systems, fund flows, reconciliation processes, and local Brazilian payment methods.
- • Experience with payment gateways, PSPs, or transaction monitoring tools is preferred but not mandatory.
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset to interpret trends and drive improvements.
- • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and manage external provider relationships.
- • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first work setting.
