- • Serve as a Brazilian Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Literature and Linguistics at the PhD level to design expert-level questions and answers for AI training data used by a major social media client.
- • Create culturally and linguistically accurate content that reflects Brazilian literature, linguistic nuances, legal frameworks, historical contexts, and societal norms to train AI systems in understanding Brazilian Portuguese and regional cultural subtleties.
- • Develop challenging, nuanced, and authentic evaluation datasets that test AI models’ comprehension of complex literary analysis, idiomatic expressions, historical references, and legal terminology unique to Brazil.
- • Collaborate remotely with Welocalize’s global data science and localization teams to ensure content aligns with NLP training requirements for machine learning models focused on Brazilian Portuguese.
- • Review and validate AI-generated outputs against human expert standards to improve model accuracy in interpreting Brazilian cultural and linguistic contexts.
- • Maintain strict adherence to project guidelines, quality benchmarks, and confidentiality protocols for all submitted content, which may include sensitive or proprietary material.
- • Deliver consistent, high-quality outputs on schedule across multiple content types including text passages, dialogue scripts, academic summaries, and annotated corpora.
- • Work independently in a remote freelance capacity with flexible hours, while meeting defined deliverables and deadlines without direct supervision.
- • Ensure all content is produced exclusively in Brazilian Portuguese, with no translation from other languages or use of non-Brazilian linguistic variants.
- • Contribute to iterative feedback loops with project leads to refine question design, answer quality, and cultural relevance based on AI performance metrics.
- • Participate in periodic training sessions or briefings provided by Welocalize to understand evolving AI model objectives and content evaluation criteria.
- • Uphold academic integrity and ethical standards in all content creation, avoiding plagiarism, fabrication, or misrepresentation of Brazilian cultural or historical facts.
- • Maintain awareness of current trends in Brazilian literature, linguistics, and digital media to ensure training data remains contemporary and representative.
- • Provide clear, concise documentation for complex answers or contextual explanations when required to support model training and validation processes.
- • Accept responsibility for the accuracy and cultural authenticity of all submitted materials, which directly influence AI behavior in real-world applications.
🎯 Requirements
- • PhD in Literature, Linguistics, or a closely related field with specialization in Brazilian Portuguese language and culture
- • Native or near-native fluency in Brazilian Portuguese with expert-level command of grammar, syntax, idioms, and regional variations
- • Proven experience in academic research, literary analysis, or linguistic fieldwork focused on Brazil
- • Ability to create complex, culturally grounded questions and answers for AI training purposes
- • Reliable internet connection and proficiency with digital collaboration tools for remote freelance work
- • Willingness to work independently on flexible schedules while meeting strict deadlines
