Full Job Description

📋 Description

  • • Hims & Hers, a leading health and wellness platform dedicated to helping the world feel great through accessible and personalized healthcare, is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Building Launch Manager to spearhead the establishment and operationalization of a new, state-of-the-art fulfillment center in Mesa, Arizona.
  • • This pivotal role is designed for a visionary leader who thrives in high-impact, cross-functional environments. Initially, you will serve as the Building Launch Manager, meticulously orchestrating all Day 1 launch activities. This involves ensuring the seamless integration of the physical site, sophisticated systems, and a highly trained workforce, guaranteeing a robust operational foundation from the outset.
  • • Your responsibilities during the launch phase will be extensive, encompassing the strategic planning and flawless execution of all pre-opening initiatives. This includes overseeing site readiness, which involves ensuring all facilities are prepared, equipment is installed and functional, systems are integrated and tested, and the initial workforce is fully onboarded and trained.
  • • A significant aspect of the launch phase is dedicated to talent acquisition and development. You will coordinate comprehensive hiring events and design engaging onboarding experiences for both hourly associates and salaried staff. This involves close collaboration with the training team to ensure all necessary resources and training modules are available and effectively delivered, guaranteeing functional area readiness across the entire facility.
  • • You will be the central hub for cross-functional coordination, acting as the primary liaison between the new fulfillment center and various critical departments. This includes close collaboration with Research & Development (R&D), Quality Assurance, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, and existing Operations teams to ensure all launch-related dependencies are met and integrated seamlessly into the overall plan.
  • • Proactive risk identification and mitigation will be paramount. You will meticulously track critical path items, swiftly resolve any emerging roadblocks, and escalate issues to senior leadership when necessary to maintain launch timelines. During the crucial go-live period, you will own real-time execution tracking and provide comprehensive reporting to keep all stakeholders informed.
  • • Financial stewardship is also a key component of the launch phase. You will monitor budget adherence, optimize the utilization of resources, and proactively flag any potential resourcing risks to ensure the project stays within financial parameters.
  • • Approximately 60 days post-launch, your role will strategically transition from a launch-focused manager to an Operations Manager. In this capacity, you will assume full, end-to-end responsibility for the facility’s ongoing performance and operational excellence.
  • • Post-launch, your duties will expand to encompass the daily oversight of all inbound inventory processes, ensuring efficient and accurate management of stock. You will manage both prescription and non-prescription fulfillment operations, guaranteeing timely and accurate order processing to meet customer demand.
  • • Outbound processing will also fall under your purview, ensuring that all orders are prepared, packaged, and shipped efficiently and in compliance with all regulations.
  • • A core part of your ongoing role will be leading and developing a diverse team across multiple shifts. This includes fostering a positive and productive work environment, managing performance, and ensuring the continuous development of your team members.
  • • You will be responsible for preparing and delivering regular, insightful reports and updates to senior leadership, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), operational challenges, and strategic initiatives.
  • • Following the successful launch and stabilization of the facility, you will contribute to the company's continuous improvement efforts by conducting thorough post-mortem analyses and contributing valuable insights to internal launch playbooks, thereby enhancing future facility launches.
  • • This hybrid role demands a unique blend of strategic planning, hands-on execution, and exceptional people leadership. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in operational launches within regulated environments, demonstrate outstanding project and people management capabilities, and embrace a collaborative, boots-on-the-ground leadership style to ensure the success of this critical new venture for Hims & Hers.
