We are committed to providing access to high-quality medicines, advancing sustainable operations, and fostering partnerships to connect people with essential products and services. Our diverse portfolio spans iconic brands, generics, and complex generics across numerous therapeutic areas, all aimed at creating healthier communities through education and improved access to treatment.
- • The Master Data Management (MDM) Business Analyst is a pivotal role within Viatris, instrumental in driving master data governance initiatives. This position will be at the forefront of implementing, adopting, and managing master data governance frameworks, alongside related processes and tools. The core objective is to ensure the consistency, security, and accuracy of master data on a global scale, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and data integrity across the organization.
- • In this role, you will collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from various departments to define and execute robust data governance strategies. This involves understanding business needs, identifying opportunities for process standardization, and implementing stringent controls to maintain high-quality master data. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability and usability of critical business data.
- • A significant aspect of your responsibility will be to play a key role in the entire lifecycle of master data management systems and processes. This includes defining business requirements, contributing to system design, developing and executing test plans, and supporting the implementation of new processes and system enhancements. You will be a crucial link between business needs and IT solutions, ensuring that master data initiatives align with strategic goals.
- • You will actively lead and participate in efforts focused on process standardization, data governance, data cleansing, ongoing maintenance, and quality improvement. This proactive approach is essential for achieving Viatris's overarching data strategy objectives and ensuring that master data is fit for purpose.
- • A critical function of this role is to conduct thorough root cause analysis for any master data inconsistencies or errors. Once identified, you will drive the implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence and continuously improve data quality. This analytical approach ensures that data issues are resolved effectively and efficiently.
- • Regular data audits will be a key responsibility, where you will assess data against established rule sets to guarantee consistency and accuracy. This involves close collaboration with internal business units, suppliers, and external partners to identify and resolve any data discrepancies, fostering a culture of data accountability.
- • You will provide essential day-to-day support to the business user community regarding the master data governance process. This includes answering queries, providing guidance, and facilitating the smooth operation of master data management activities, ensuring users can effectively leverage master data.
- • Identifying and documenting existing business processes, workflows, and potential gaps or risks related to master data is crucial. You will then summarize these insights and communicate their implications to both internal and external stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making and strategic planning.
- • Serving as the vital link between business stakeholders, the MDM Centers of Excellence, and the IT department, you will provide expert knowledge and advice in your areas of specialization. This bridging role ensures seamless communication and alignment between different functional groups.
- • You will support the identification, description, and realization of opportunities for the development and optimal use of global master data across all information systems. This involves understanding how master data can be leveraged to drive business value and improve decision-making.
- • Furthermore, you will actively support system development activities. This includes assisting in requirements gathering, drafting comprehensive test scripts, and participating in test execution to ensure that new or enhanced systems meet the defined business needs for master data management.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and influence Viatris's approach to master data, contributing directly to the company's mission of providing reliable healthcare solutions globally. Your work will ensure that the data underpinning Viatris's operations is accurate, consistent, and readily available, supporting critical business functions and strategic initiatives.
