We are driven by a passion for empowering our clients to navigate and thrive in a dynamic and ever-evolving market landscape. Our expertise spans banking and payments, capital markets, and wealth and asset management, underpinned by a steadfast commitment to maintaining our agile, entrepreneurial, and nimble company culture. We are dedicated to expanding our business and are actively seeking exceptional talent to fuel our growth trajectory.
- • As a Business Analyst within our Valuation team, you will play a pivotal role in the Product Control function. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate valuation and robust control of financial instruments utilized by the Global Markets Business. This will be achieved through the diligent application of industry best practices, adherence to IFRS accounting standards, and compliance with internal Bank Group policies, procedures, and other relevant regulatory guidance. You will be instrumental in safeguarding the integrity and accuracy of our financial reporting and valuation processes.
- • Key duties encompass the meticulous oversight and preparation of critical valuation processes, including Independent Price Verification (IPV), Fair Value Adjustment (FVA), Prudent Valuation (PVA), and Fair Value Levelling (FVL). You will be tasked with identifying opportunities for and actively contributing to the enhancement of existing controls and the implementation of innovative valuation methodologies. This involves a deep dive into the analysis of valuation model restrictions and recommendations, ensuring they align with current market conditions and regulatory expectations.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves coordinating the preparation of comprehensive and insightful Management Information (MI) for various executive committees. You will be responsible for delivering a unified and accurate view of the Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet, fostering seamless cooperation with both Business Financial Control and Core Product Control teams. This cross-functional collaboration is essential for providing a holistic financial perspective.
- • Building and nurturing strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the organization is paramount. This includes fostering effective partnerships with other Product Control functions, Quantitative Analytics teams, Front Office personnel, Market Risk Management, IT departments, and Operations. Your ability to communicate effectively and build trust will be crucial for the smooth execution of your responsibilities.
- • Furthermore, you will be empowered to drive process reengineering and streamlining initiatives. The objective is to achieve greater economies of scale, enhance operational efficiency, and elevate the overall quality of service delivered by the Valuation team. Your proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements will directly contribute to the team's success and the company's strategic goals.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in complex financial instruments and sophisticated valuation techniques. You will gain invaluable experience in a critical function that directly impacts financial reporting accuracy and risk management. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining the trust and confidence of our clients and stakeholders in the accuracy and reliability of our financial valuations.
