- • The Business Consultant role at Distro, Inc. is a critical sales and client-facing position focused on driving revenue growth by prospecting, selling, and managing relationships for Solvo products and services, which include HR/HCM technology, managed services, and global business process outsourcing (BPO). This role directly contributes to Vensure Employer Solutions’ mission of serving over 95,000 businesses and processing over $135B in annual payroll by helping clients streamline operations through tailored employer solutions.
- • As a work-from-office position based in Los Angeles, California, the Business Consultant operates within a dynamic, global organization that values in-person collaboration, making this role ideal for individuals who thrive in structured, team-oriented environments and are eager to engage directly with clients and internal stakeholders.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include proactively generating new business opportunities within an assigned territory, consistently meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly sales quotas, and developing both short- and long-term sales strategies to increase volume and profit margins.
- • The consultant will continuously expand industry knowledge by staying informed about market trends, new products, competitor initiatives, and best practices in staffing and BPO, ensuring accurate positioning of Solvo offerings against market alternatives.
- • A core duty involves overseeing the preparation and execution of renewal proposals for existing clients, ensuring service accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency while maintaining strong client relationships through regular engagement and executive-level reporting.
- • The role requires active use of CRM tools (particularly Salesforce) to track activities, manage leads, submit accurate new business paperwork, expense reports, and weekly activity reports on schedule, and participate in monthly consulting meetings to provide training and coaching to peers.
- • Frequent domestic and occasional international travel is required to attend client meetings, industry conferences, training sessions, and team onsite events, necessitating adaptability to various environments including offices, event venues, and transportation hubs.
- • The Business Consultant will build and maintain cross-functional relationships with team members, peers across disciplines, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination of services and communications affecting client outcomes.
- • Ongoing professional development is supported through attendance at webinars and training sessions to stay current on company best practices, sales methodologies, and evolving HCM/BPO landscapes.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience, skills, education, or certifications preferred.
- • At least two years of progressive sales experience in payroll, HCM, PEO, or BPO-related B2B intangible sales.
- • Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with demonstrated ability to learn new applications as needed.
- • Valid, non-restrictive driver’s license and valid passport required due to regular domestic and occasional international travel.
- • Proven ability to drive revenue growth, exceed sales quotas, negotiate effectively, and influence key stakeholders using sound business ethics and confidentiality.
- • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, including cultural sensitivity and the ability to build relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
