  • • As a Business Continuity Specialist at dLocal, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the company's operational resilience and ensuring its ability to withstand and recover from disruptive events. This is a critical position that requires a proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented individual to develop, implement, and maintain robust business continuity and disaster recovery plans across our global operations.
  • • You will be instrumental in identifying potential risks and threats to dLocal's business operations, assessing their potential impact, and developing comprehensive strategies to mitigate these risks. This involves working closely with various departments to understand their critical functions, dependencies, and recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs).
  • • A key responsibility will be the creation and ongoing refinement of detailed business continuity plans (BCPs) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies. This includes documenting procedures for emergency response, crisis management, data backup and recovery, and alternative operational sites.
  • • You will lead the coordination and execution of regular BCP/DR testing and exercises. This involves simulating various disaster scenarios to evaluate the effectiveness of existing plans, identify gaps, and recommend improvements. Post-exercise analysis and reporting will be crucial to ensure continuous improvement.
  • • This role demands strong collaboration skills as you will liaunt with IT, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of BCP/DR plans with overall business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • • You will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs to educate employees on business continuity principles, their roles during an incident, and the proper use of BCP/DR procedures.
  • • Monitoring industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging threats will be a continuous part of your role, ensuring dLocal's BCP/DR framework remains current and effective.
  • • You will contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive risk management framework, specifically focusing on operational risks that could impact business continuity.
  • • In the event of a disruption, you will be a key member of the crisis management team, assisting in the activation of BCPs, coordinating response efforts, and facilitating the swift return to normal operations.
