- • The Business Controller will serve as a strategic financial partner to the Singapore Grid Automation leadership team, providing full P&L responsibility and bridging financial strategy with commercial execution to drive profitability through cost control, forecasting, and risk management.
- • Day to day, the role involves providing decision support with financial information (budget, forecast, actuals), controlling costs, identifying savings opportunities, reviewing tender financials for risk compliance, supporting sales and tender teams in negotiations, coordinating finance with Singapore management, setting budgets, managing pass-through business and revenue recognition, and ensuring regulatory and internal compliance.
- • The role is based in Hanoi, Vietnam, supporting Hitachi Energy Vietnam’s Grid Automation business unit, which serves 50% of the top 250 global electric utilities with solutions in substation automation, grid edge, enterprise software, and power conversion systems across generation, transmission, distribution, industry, and transportation sectors.
- • The person will develop expertise in financial controlling within a global energy technology leader, gain experience in international stakeholder management, deepen knowledge of power industry financials, and grow through structured learning and development opportunities while contributing to sustainable energy solutions.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, or equivalent
- • More than 5 years of experience in Electrical Manufacturing, Power Industry, or similar role
- • Awareness of power system technology and advanced computer skills in SAP, MS Office, MS Teams, Outlook, SharePoint
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
- • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across cultures, nationalities, and time zones
