- • As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Groupon, you will be the first point of contact for small and medium-sized businesses across Australia, representing Groupon in the market to help merchants connect with new customers and grow through the platform.
- • Day to day, you will prospect and engage with local businesses offering experiences Australians love—such as restaurants, wellness, and activities—using cold calling and consultative selling techniques to onboard new merchants, understand their business needs and growth objectives, structure win–win deals, lead contract discussions on margins and discounts, consistently meet and exceed individual sales targets, partner with the Merchant Development team post-sale for smooth onboarding, and drive local market growth by onboarding high-quality merchants and expanding regional revenue.
- • Groupon is a global marketplace connecting over 16 million customers with deals from over a million merchant partners worldwide, committed to helping local businesses succeed on a performance basis. 🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- • 2–3 years’ proven success in sales, ideally in inside sales, telesales, or SMB-focused roles
- • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust quickly
- • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- • Strong commercial awareness and sound judgment
- • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM tools (highly regarded)
