• We are seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Business Development Lead to spearhead the Monad Foundation's strategic initiatives in building out a robust and scalable payments ecosystem. • In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of payments on the Monad blockchain. Your primary responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of activities crucial for ecosystem growth and market penetration.
• **Ecosystem Building:** You will be tasked with identifying, engaging, and successfully onboarding key strategic partners within the broader financial technology landscape. This includes, but is not limited to, innovative fintech companies, established Payment Service Providers (PSPs), traditional financial institutions and banks, and prominent stablecoin issuers. Your ability to cultivate and nurture these relationships will be critical to establishing a vibrant and interconnected payments network.
• **Partnerships and Deal Structuring:** A core component of your role will involve the meticulous structuring and negotiation of complex agreements. These partnerships and deals will be designed to accelerate and drive the widespread adoption of Monad as a premier global settlement payments layer. You will leverage your expertise to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes that align with Monad's strategic objectives.
• **Go-to-Market (GTM) Execution:** You will play an integral part in collaborating on the development and execution of our go-to-market strategy. This includes contributing to the refinement of the marketing narrative, the design and optimization of landing pages to attract and convert potential partners and users, and facilitating early customer integrations to showcase the capabilities of the Monad payments network.
• **Market Development and Evangelism:** A significant aspect of your role will involve actively evangelizing Monad's value proposition to the wider crypto and fintech communities. This will be achieved through participation in industry events, the formation of strategic alliances, and targeted outreach efforts designed to build awareness and foster understanding of Monad's potential.
• **Research and Strategic Insight:** You will be expected to rapidly immerse yourself in the intricacies of stablecoins, payment systems, and settlement mechanisms. This deep understanding will be crucial for informing and refining our overall strategy and execution, ensuring that Monad remains at the cutting edge of payment innovation.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven track record of successfully closing marquee deals within the fintech, payments, or traditional finance sectors.
• Deep curiosity and a strong understanding of stablecoins, payment systems, and the intersection of cryptocurrency and financial technology.
• Demonstrated 'hustler' mindset with a proven ability to make things happen, even in environments with limited structure.
• Strong existing network within crypto and fintech circles, or a demonstrated ability to rapidly build such a network.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and business concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
• Comfort and proficiency in taking ownership of initiatives and operating autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to New York City or San Francisco.
