  • • HOA Talent is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to spearhead the optimization and leadership of their Business Development Representative (BDR) team. This pivotal role is designed for a seasoned sales leader who excels in driving outbound sales performance, enhancing conversion rates, instilling operational discipline, and cultivating a culture of high accountability within a fast-paced environment. The Business Development Manager will be instrumental in directly influencing the company's pipeline generation, the volume of proposals submitted, and ultimately, the overall revenue growth, making this a critical position for the organization's success.
  • • In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and performance management of a team of Business Development Representatives. This includes setting clear expectations, monitoring daily outbound activities such as calls, emails, and follow-ups, and ensuring comprehensive prospecting coverage. A key aspect of your daily work will involve improving conversion rates at critical stages of the sales funnel, specifically from initial conversations to scheduled meetings, from scheduled meetings to completed meetings, and from completed meetings to qualified proposal opportunities. You will continuously analyze performance data to refine outreach strategies, messaging, objection handling techniques, and scripts, ensuring the team is equipped with the most effective tools and approaches. Furthermore, you will conduct regular 1:1 coaching sessions with each BDR, reviewing recorded calls to provide structured feedback on qualification, objection handling, and conversion effectiveness. Participating in live call blocks and real-time coaching will be essential to developing the team's skills. You will also support ongoing enablement efforts, ensuring the team possesses deep industry knowledge, understands product positioning, and masters sales messaging, while also integrating AI tools and optimizing workflows for greater efficiency.
  • • You will ensure the team consistently meets outbound activity expectations, meticulously monitoring daily outbound activity, engagement rates, talk time, and pipeline generation metrics. A significant part of your responsibility will be to drive accountability, consistency, and execution across all outbound sales activities, fostering a team culture centered on professionalism, urgency, responsiveness, and a commitment to continuous improvement. You will be tasked with identifying and nurturing top-performing BDRs while proactively addressing and managing underperformance through structured improvement plans. Regular performance reviews and coaching sessions will be a core component of your leadership approach. You will also ensure the team maintains impeccable CRM usage, with accurate and timely logging of all activities, detailed notes, effective follow-up tracking, and strong deal hygiene. Maintaining alignment with Account Executives and leadership on meeting quality and pipeline standards will be crucial for seamless collaboration and revenue generation.
  • • This role offers significant opportunities for professional growth and development. You will gain invaluable experience in leading and scaling a high-performing sales development team, honing your skills in performance management, coaching, and strategic pipeline generation. You will have the chance to influence sales strategy and processes, contributing directly to the company's growth trajectory. By developing talent and driving measurable results, you will build a strong track record in sales leadership. The opportunity to shape the future growth of the organization and make a tangible impact on revenue generation and team performance provides a rewarding career path for ambitious sales professionals.
  • • The Business Development Manager will be accountable for achieving specific quarterly performance expectations, including a target of 180 Team Intro Meetings Completed, 120 Proposals Sent, and ensuring 70% of BDRs achieve their individual goals. Success in this role will be rigorously measured by team quota attainment, BDR goal achievement rates, the consistency of team performance, the quality and qualification standards of meetings, conversion effectiveness, CRM and process discipline, the effectiveness of coaching and rep development, and overall operational reliability and leadership maturity. To support these objectives, strict activity expectations must be met, including 100% of BDR activity logged in CRM within 24 hours, weekly 1:1s with every BDR, reviewing a minimum of 10 recorded calls per BDR monthly, and spending at least 3 hours weekly on live call listening or participation. Regular review of team dashboards (multiple times per week) and daily monitoring of outbound performance to address gaps swiftly are also critical. Ensuring inbound leads are worked within SLA requirements and maintaining strong communication with BDRs, AEs, and leadership are ongoing responsibilities that contribute to the overall success of the sales development function.
  • • The ideal candidate is a hands-on sales leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, possesses a deep understanding of outbound prospecting at scale, and can effectively balance coaching, accountability, analytics, and execution. You should be comfortable managing performance metrics on a daily basis while simultaneously focusing on developing people and improving systems over the long term. This role is not just about managing numbers; it's about building a high-performing team and a robust sales development engine that consistently fuels the company's growth pipeline. Your ability to translate data into actionable insights and coach your team to achieve ambitious targets will be paramount. You will be a key player in shaping the sales development strategy and ensuring its effective implementation across the team, driving both individual BDR success and collective team achievements that contribute significantly to HOA Talent's bottom line and market position. This role demands a leader who is both strategic and tactical, capable of setting the vision and executing the daily operations required to achieve it, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement throughout the sales development function.
