  • • As the first dedicated Business Development Manager at Scribe, you will establish the foundation for the company’s outbound sales engine by hiring, coaching, and scaling a high-performing BDR team that directly fuels revenue growth and supports the transition from inbound-led to sales-assisted go-to-market motions.
  • • You will hire, onboard, and develop early-career sellers with clear progression paths into Account Executive and Customer Success roles, building a talent pipeline that strengthens Scribe’s long-term go-to-market capability while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
  • • Day to day, you will coach BDRs through live call reviews, email and message breakdowns, and structured 1:1s focused on improving conversion rates, refining talk tracks, and increasing activity quality, ensuring reps are consistently developing skills and hitting pipeline targets.
  • • You will build and maintain the operational rhythm of the BDR function by implementing CRM hygiene standards, creating dashboards for activity and pipeline visibility, and leading weekly forecast and pipeline reviews to ensure predictability and alignment with sales goals.
  • • You will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to optimize lead routing, improve handoff processes, align on qualification criteria, and co-develop messaging and cadences that increase lead quality and conversion across diverse buyer personas and industries.
  • • You will develop and refine the BDR playbook in collaboration with the sales strategy team, documenting proven talk tracks, objection handling frameworks, email sequences, and qualification frameworks that can be scaled and iterated upon through A/B testing and field feedback.
  • • You will model customer excellence by actively participating in calls and outreach, turning frontline insights into repeatable, teachable plays that elevate team performance and ensure messaging resonates with real customer needs.
  • • You will drive speed and agility by biasing toward action, running rapid experiments, identifying what works, and operationalizing successful tactics quickly to keep the team ahead in a fast-moving, evolving market.
  • • You will join a mission-driven company where over 94% of the Fortune 500 rely on Scribe’s Workflow AI platform to capture, optimize, and standardize workflows, enabling teams to work smarter, faster, and more consistently across industries.
  • • You will work from Scribe’s San Francisco headquarters three days per week, collaborating in person with a talented, values-driven team that believes in accelerating impact, raising the bar, making users heroes, and operating as one team with one dream.
  • • In this role, you will grow as a leader by mastering the art of early-career talent development, building scalable sales processes, and gaining end-to-end ownership of a critical growth function—positioning yourself for future advancement into senior GTM leadership roles.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 1–3 years of experience leading a BDR or SDR team in a SaaS environment, with a proven track record of hiring, coaching, and developing early-career sellers.
  • • Prior quota-carrying experience in sales is a strong plus, demonstrating firsthand understanding of the full sales cycle and revenue generation.
  • • Demonstrated ability to build and refine sales playbooks, including cadences, talk tracks, qualification criteria, and outreach strategies, ideally through collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
  • • Strong coaching and communication skills, with experience delivering direct, actionable feedback through call reviews, 1:1s, and performance coaching that drives measurable improvement.
  • • Comfortable working with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), building dashboards, and managing by the numbers to track activity, conversion rates, and pipeline health.
  • • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to improve lead quality, routing, and handoff processes in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive OTE compensation ranging from $165,000 to $200,000 (60/40 base/variable split), benchmarked using trusted market data and a tiered location system for equitable pay.

  • • Flexible paid time off and company holidays to support rest, recharge, and work-life balance.
  • • Access to a 401(k) retirement plan to help employees save for their future.
  • • Paid parental leave to support growing families during critical bonding periods.
  • • Daily catered lunches for SF-based employees and a home office stipend to support productive remote or hybrid work setups.
  • • Commuter benefits to ease travel to and from the San Francisco office for hybrid team members.
