📋 Description

  • • Lead and scale Twilio’s New Business Sales team in Australia and New Zealand, driving revenue growth by acquiring enterprise and commercial customers across messaging, voice, email, and customer data platform solutions.
  • • Mentor and manage a high-performing team of Account Executives, ensuring they average 10 client meetings per week, conduct four face-to-face client meetings monthly, and engage in strategic consultations to develop tailored solutions using Twilio’s communication and segment platforms.
  • • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Legal, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to navigate complex sales cycles, align on go-to-market strategies, and leverage Twilio’s platform differentiation to displace competitors.
  • • Own forecasting discipline by delivering weekly pipeline updates, quarterly commits (most likely, best case), and achieving quota through data-driven decision making and fiscal planning support for major regional accounts.
  • • Foster a culture of ownership and autonomy within the team, coaching when needed while trusting AEs to act as business owners, embodying Twilio’s values of connection, inclusion, and innovation in a remote-first environment.
  • • Represent Twilio in customer-facing engagements, including Zoom calls and approximately 40% travel for in-person meetings and client meals per quarter to build deep, lasting relationships.
  • • Contribute to Twilio’s mission of shaping the future of communications by empowering developers and businesses globally with personalized customer experiences, all while working remotely from Australia as part of a globally inclusive team.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 6+ years of sales experience with at least 4 years in team building, monthly forecasting, fiscal planning, and revenue tracking for major accounts in a region.
  • • Consistent track record of exceeding revenue targets and business objectives in sales roles.
  • • Proven industry experience selling CPaaS or SaaS solutions and managing complex sales negotiations.
  • • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with innovative thinking, creative problem-solving abilities, and natural curiosity.
  • • BA/BS degree or equivalent; MBA is a plus but not required.
  • • Ability to work with minimal supervision as a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and cross-functional collaboration in high-growth environments.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive pay and performance-based compensation aligned with Twilio’s market-leading total rewards philosophy.
  • • Generous time off, ample parental leave, and wellness leave to support work-life integration and employee well-being.
  • • Comprehensive healthcare coverage and retirement savings program offerings, varying by location but designed for long-term security.
  • • Opportunities to engage in volunteering and donation efforts supported by Twilio.org’s Impact Fund, enabling positive community impact.
  • • Access to Twilio’s culture of connection, global inclusion, and remote-first work, fostering belonging regardless of location.
  • • Investment in employee growth through learning, initiative-taking, and encouragement to solve problems and try new things as part of ‘Twilio Magic’.
