📋 Description

  • Drive growth for DuPont™ Vespel® by building and expanding relationships with Aerospace & Defense OEMs, defense contractors, and U.S. Government (DoD) stakeholders.
  • Identify, qualify, and capture new business opportunities within the aerospace and defense markets using deep industry knowledge and customer insights.
  • Analyze customer technical requirements and define tailored Vespel® solutions to address capability gaps in extreme-environment applications.
  • Lead customer engagement strategies and develop comprehensive capture plans to secure contracts and expand market share.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, and operations teams to align customer needs with product development and delivery.
  • Support the development of the Vespel® product and technology roadmap by providing market-driven feedback and identifying emerging opportunities.
  • Travel up to 50% to meet with customers, attend industry events, and support strategic account initiatives across the United States.
  • Operate remotely from any U.S.-based location with preference for CT, DC, MD, TX, FL, or OH.
  • Leverage established industry network and proven track record in commercial and/or military aerospace to accelerate business expansion.
  • Translate complex technical specifications into clear value propositions for non-technical decision-makers within defense and aerospace organizations.
  • Navigate U.S. Government acquisition processes, including engagement with agencies such as DoD, AFRL, and NASA, to facilitate contract wins.
  • Maintain a self-directed approach to managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders with strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
  • Contribute to long-term strategic planning by identifying trends, competitive threats, and emerging technologies in high-performance materials for aerospace and defense.
  • Ensure alignment between customer demands and DuPont’s innovation pipeline to enhance product relevance and market competitiveness.
  • Represent DuPont™ Vespel® at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer technical reviews to strengthen brand presence and thought leadership.

🎯 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering or related field preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial and/or military aerospace
  • Strong industry expertise and established customer network in Aerospace & Defense
  • Experience analyzing DoD/customer requirements and identifying technical solutions
  • Proven ability to develop and execute business strategy
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
