- • The Business Development Manager will drive new business growth for Sensata’s Automotive Electrification portfolio, focusing on battery protection solutions across European automotive Tier customers, playing a critical role in expanding Sensata’s presence in a rapidly evolving market.
- • Day to day, the role involves developing and executing new business acquisition strategies, building a sustainable pipeline of opportunities in electrification and battery protection, acting as the primary commercial interface for prospects and accounts, engaging cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, purchasing, quality, manufacturing), leading early-stage customer discussions with engineering teams during development phases, coordinating internal teams for solution positioning and proposal delivery, and delivering sales growth aligned with business targets and long-term strategic goals.
- • Sensata Technologies Holding plc is a global leader in sensors and sensor-based solutions, with a strong focus on innovation in automotive electrification, operating in a dynamic, matrixed environment that values collaboration across functions, countries, and cultures under the OneSensata philosophy.
- • In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in automotive electrification and battery protection markets, refine advanced commercial and stakeholder management skills, gain experience influencing complex multi-country European accounts, and contribute directly to Sensata’s strategic growth in sustainable mobility solutions.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5–10 years of experience in Business Development or Sales within the Automotive sector
- • Proven track record in new business acquisition with a hunter profile
- • Experience working with automotive Tier suppliers and/or OEM ecosystem
- • Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder environments
- • Exposure to automotive electrification, battery systems, or electronics (preferred)
- • Technical understanding enabling effective discussions with engineering teams (preferred)
- • Experience managing multi-country European accounts (preferred)
- • Fluency in German and English
