  • • Join Sartorius Stedim BioOutsource Ltd as a Business Development Manager focused on Testing Services within the Emerging Business Unit, where you will hunt, shape, and win high-impact opportunities across Testing and Cell Banking services through advanced technical selling and market development.
  • • Day to day, you will identify whitespace and unmet needs in assigned markets, design and execute technical demos and trials, drive deal shaping by quantifying customer impact, co-lead commercial offer development with Central Sales, and ensure seamless pre- to post-adoption transitions by stabilizing early usage and enabling handover for long-term account growth.
  • • You will join a newly created team shaping the future of Sartorius’ emerging business, collaborating closely with R&D, Operations, and Central Sales to deliver customer-focused solutions aligned with global objectives in the life sciences industry.
  • • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in technical sales within biopharma testing, strengthen your ability to influence complex deals through value-based narratives, and grow as a strategic hunter and influencer in a global, innovation-driven life science company.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Master’s in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Genetics, Chemistry, Virology or related disciplines; PhD is a major plus.
  • • 5+ years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, ideally with a CRO background selling scientific testing services related to cell banking.
  • • Proven experience in new business development, growing and maintaining customers, and developing and monitoring a sales pipeline.
  • • Experience working in a GxP environment.
  • • Strong technical depth across product portfolios with demonstrated ability to shape customer workflows, create value-based narratives, and win competitive deals.
  • • Proficiency in CRM systems and structured sales processes with strong documentation discipline.
  • • Willingness to travel >50% internationally, with preference for candidates near Glasgow or an international airport in the UK.
