Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • Business Development Manager for the Collectibles category at Palmstreet, a leading live shopping platform for rare plants, handmade crafts, collectibles, and unique goods, responsible for scaling the fastest-growing category and shaping the future of social commerce.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include building and executing category growth strategies, recruiting and activating high-potential sellers through outbound outreach and relationship building, representing Palmstreet at industry events, onboarding new sellers from first contact to debut livestream, managing seller pipelines, and owning revenue and category growth goals including GMV, new seller acquisition, and buyer retention.
- • Palmstreet is a VC-backed, nimble, empathetic team founded by Instagram and Apple veterans, evolved from a plant identification app into a trailblazer in live shopping with 1500x GMV growth in three years, aiming to become the 'World's Online Main Street' by bringing in-person shopping charm to social online experiences.
- • The role offers the opportunity to shape category strategy, identify and launch new subcategories, collaborate cross-functionally with GTM, marketing, and product teams, gain deep expertise in collectibles culture, and drive innovation in social commerce while working in a flat, startup environment with ownership and impact.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years in business development, partnerships, or sales, preferably in a marketplace or at early- to mid-stage startups
- • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify, test, and scale new opportunities, not just execute on a defined playbook
- • Proven ability to successfully manage both outbound sales pipelines and strategic accounts
- • Experience onboarding and enabling sellers in both high-touch and scalable ways
- • Strong organizational and communication skills
- • Proficiency in tools like Hubspot or similar CRMs
- • Broad interest in or familiarity with collectibles culture (sports cards, TCG, comics, memorabilia, vintage toys, designer toys, video games, or adjacent verticals) is a strong plus
- • Smart, hands-on, and high-hustle approach to ambiguous problems
🏖️ Benefits
- • Base Salary: $90,000–$140,000, depending on experience level and location
- • Equity: Granted after 6 months and reaching key performance milestones
- • Generous health insurance contribution (for you & dependents)
- • Dental & vision insurance
- • Life insurance
- • 12 paid holidays + Paid Time Off (PTO) + Paid Sick Days
- • 401(k) plan with company matching
