- • The Business Development Manager, Federal Sales role at Pitney Bowes is critical to expanding the company’s presence in federal agencies by delivering secure, compliant, and innovative mailing, shipping, and digital workflow solutions that support mission-critical government operations.
- • Day to day, the role involves collaborating with federal account managers and internal teams to guide clients through procurement processes, reviewing solicitations and contracts (including RFPs, RFQs, and FARs), supporting proposal development, monitoring federal contract sites, and fostering relationships with government acquisition personnel and internal stakeholders.
- • Pitney Bowes is a global leader in SendTech Solutions, providing physical and digital mailing and shipping technology, financing, services, and supplies to businesses and government clients worldwide, with a focus on innovation and operational excellence.
- • In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in federal procurement, gain experience with FedRAMP, FIPS, FISMA, NIST, and GSA schedules, and contribute to high-impact business opportunities while working remotely with a flexible schedule and significant autonomy.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 5 years of experience as a contracting officer working for a US Federal Government agency
- • In-depth knowledge of and experience with government contracting concepts, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs)
- • Experience with General Service Administration (GSA) Schedules Program, IDIQ contract vehicles, and related online systems
- • Ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance
- • Practical application of operational performance metrics
- • Willingness to travel up to 20% including overnight stays
