- ⢠As a Business Development Manager for Deliveroo in Genova, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the companyâs footprint by securing premium restaurant and grocery partnerships, directly contributing to Deliverooâs mission to transform how people shop and eat through innovation and growth in a fast-paced commercial environment.
- ⢠You will act as a founding member of Deliverooâs regional growth efforts in Genova, leveraging your local market expertise to identify, pitch, and close high-value partnerships while ensuring a seamless onboarding experience that reflects Deliverooâs commitment to excellence and partner success.
- ⢠Your day-to-day responsibilities will include strategic prospecting to map and target premium restaurants and stores across Genova, using deep local food scene knowledge to identify emerging trends and untapped opportunities for partnership.
- ⢠You will engage in consultative selling through face-to-face visits, phone calls, and social media outreach to clearly communicate Deliverooâs value proposition, address partner concerns, and guide restaurants through the decision-making process with empathy and expertise.
- ⢠You will provide end-to-end onboarding support to new merchants, ensuring they receive world-class service from initial contact through platform integration, including training, troubleshooting, and ongoing relationship nurturing to maximize retention and satisfaction.
- ⢠You will actively build and nurture relationships within Genovaâs culinary community by attending food industry events, meet-ups, and networking gatherings to stay informed, uncover new leads, and position Deliveroo as a trusted partner in the local ecosystem.
- ⢠You will apply your industry knowledge to tailor solutions that solve real-world challenges for premium partnersâsuch as increasing order volume, improving operational efficiency, or enhancing customer experienceâusing data-informed insights to demonstrate ROI and drive adoption.
- ⢠You will collaborate closely with the Regional Sales team and report to the Sales Lead, contributing to Italy-wide expansion goals while maintaining autonomy and ownership over your territory and pipeline.
- ⢠You will develop advanced skills in strategic account planning, negotiation, and market analysis, gaining hands-on experience in shaping commercial strategy for a global brand operating in a dynamic three-sided marketplace.

- ⢠Excellent communication abilities, including confidence in face-to-face interactions, phone etiquette, and professional written correspondence with restaurant owners and decision-makers.

- ⢠Deep understanding of the restaurant or food service industry, including knowledge of local Genova market dynamics, trends, and operator pain points.
