We are now seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to be based in London, playing a pivotal role in accelerating our expansion across the EMEA region.
- • Reporting directly to the Head of Marketplace, this role is instrumental in fostering synergy across our Sales, Customer Success, Partnerships, Marketing, Finance, Data, and Product teams. It’s a hands-on, high-impact position for an individual who thrives on building robust relationships, strategically opening new doors, and closing significant deals. You will be a key architect in expanding our customer base, shaping our go-to-market strategy within EMEA, and collaborating closely with senior leadership as Vendelux continues its impressive scaling journey. The ideal candidate will possess the right to work in the UK and be based in London.
- • *Key Responsibilities and Impact:**
- • **End-to-End Business Development Ownership:** You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of new business opportunities, from the initial outreach and discovery conversations through to the finalization of signed agreements. This involves identifying potential clients, understanding their unique event marketing challenges, and demonstrating how Vendelux can provide a transformative solution.
- • **Prospecting, Qualification, and Closing:** Proactively identify and engage with prospective customers across a diverse spectrum, including brands, marketing agencies, and potential strategic partners. You will meticulously qualify leads to ensure alignment with our ideal customer profile and skillfully guide them through the sales process to a successful close.
- • **Pipeline Management and Growth:** Cultivate and maintain a robust sales pipeline within a dynamic and fast-paced market environment. This requires consistent effort in lead generation, nurturing relationships, and forecasting accurately to ensure predictable revenue growth.
- • **Strategic Partnership Development:** Source, evaluate, and structure innovative, data-driven partnerships. This includes exploring opportunities for data exchange, technical collaborations, and co-marketing initiatives that not only drive revenue growth but also enhance our product offering and market reach.
- • **Senior Stakeholder Relationship Building:** Develop and nurture long-term, trusted relationships with senior executives and key decision-makers within target organizations. Understanding their strategic objectives and demonstrating the value of Vendelux will be paramount.
- • **Market Intelligence and Product Influence:** Maintain a keen awareness of customer feedback, emerging market trends, and competitive landscapes. Actively contribute insights to inform and influence our product development roadmap, positioning strategies, and overall go-to-market approach.
- • **External Representation and Brand Advocacy:** Serve as a credible and engaging representative of Vendelux at key industry events, conferences, trade shows, and networking meetings. Building brand awareness and generating qualified leads through these interactions will be a crucial aspect of the role.
- • **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work seamlessly with internal teams, including Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and Data, to ensure a cohesive and effective customer experience and to drive strategic initiatives forward. Your insights will be vital in aligning our efforts and maximizing our collective impact.
- • **Territory Growth and Strategy:** Develop and execute a strategic plan for penetrating and growing the EMEA market. This involves understanding regional nuances, identifying key industry verticals, and tailoring our approach to resonate with local businesses. You will be instrumental in defining and refining our go-to-market strategy for this critical region.
- • **Revenue Generation and Target Achievement:** Take ownership of achieving and exceeding ambitious revenue targets for the EMEA region. This requires a proactive, results-oriented approach, coupled with a deep understanding of the sales cycle and effective negotiation skills.
- • **Thought Leadership and Market Expertise:** Become a recognized expert in the event marketing technology space, sharing insights and best practices with prospects and partners. Your contributions will help establish Vendelux as a thought leader in the industry.
