Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As the Business Development Manager for Poland at Neara Inc., you will be instrumental in expanding the company’s footprint across Central and Eastern Europe by driving adoption of its advanced digital twin technology for electricity grid resilience. This role is critical to Neara’s mission of enabling utilities to simulate extreme weather and structural stress on power networks, thereby preventing outages and supporting climate adaptation efforts across millions of kilometres of infrastructure.
- • You will own the full sales cycle in Poland and broader regional markets, from initial market outreach and lead generation to managing complex, multi-stakeholder consultative sales processes that span 6 to 18 months, culminating in long-term enterprise agreements with transmission and distribution system operators (TSOs/DSOs), engineering firms, and infrastructure consultants.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include developing and executing a localized go-to-market strategy tailored to Poland’s regulatory and technical landscape, conducting cold outreach and discovery calls with utility stakeholders, leading technical pilots and Proof of Concepts (PoCs), collaborating with product and marketing teams to refine value propositions, and cultivating relationships with EPCs and consulting partners that influence utility procurement decisions.
- • You will act as the primary regional representative while being fully supported by Neara’s London-based commercial, technical, and marketing teams, ensuring you have access to global resources, product expertise, and campaign support to scale your efforts effectively.
- • This role offers the opportunity to build and lead Neara’s presence in Poland from the ground up, with direct ownership of market strategy and the potential to shape the regional team as the company scales globally.
- • You will gain deep expertise in selling cutting-edge AI-powered engineering software to highly technical utility clients, enhancing your ability to navigate complex enterprise sales cycles, translate technical capabilities into business value, and influence infrastructure investment decisions at the highest levels.
- • By contributing to the deployment of technology that enhances grid resilience against climate-driven disasters, you will play a tangible role in protecting communities and enabling a more sustainable energy future — aligning commercial success with meaningful societal impact.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven track record selling complex enterprise software directly to utility companies (TSOs/DSOs), with demonstrated understanding of their operational challenges, procurement processes, and pain points.
- • Significant experience in Geospatial (GIS), Construction Tech, Engineering Software, or Infrastructure Digital Twins, enabling credible technical conversations with engineers and infrastructure stakeholders.
- • Fluency in Polish and professional proficiency in English are required; additional languages are considered a plus.
- • Ability to manage long-term (6–18 month) consultative sales cycles, including navigating technical pilots, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and multi-stakeholder decision-making processes.
- • Self-driven and autonomous work style, coupled with the ability to effectively leverage global support teams (marketing, technical, commercial) from Neara’s London HQ to scale regional efforts.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Total ownership of the Polish market with the opportunity to build and lead the region as Neara scales its global presence.
- • Direct access to London HQ and global marketing, technical, and commercial resources, ensuring you are never working in isolation despite being the sole regional lead.
- • The chance to sell a product that directly contributes to grid resilience, helping keep the lights on and protect communities from climate-induced power failures.
- • A performance-based commission structure designed to reflect the complexity, scale, and long-term value of enterprise utility sales in the Polish market.
