- • The Business Development Manager Torque role at Ryder System, Inc. is critical to driving revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities for Torque by Ryder within an assigned territory. This position directly contributes to expanding market presence and increasing utilization of mobile maintenance services through strategic prospecting and relationship building.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading pre-sales and go-to-market strategy development, building and maintaining a high-quality sales pipeline via cold outreach, lead follow-up, networking, and market research, exceeding sales quotas by closing new business, uncovering customer needs through in-depth discovery, applying value-based selling techniques, creating compelling ROI-focused proposals and presentations, managing administrative account development tasks, providing accurate sales forecasts and pipeline updates, maintaining CRM compliance, collaborating with local operations managers, national sales partners, and mobile maintenance technicians to ensure seamless execution, building strong internal and external relationships, maintaining detailed account profiles and prospect intelligence, and continuously enhancing sales skills through training and coaching.
