- • As the Business Development Manager for the UK market, you will be the vital on-the-ground representative for BJAK. Your primary responsibility will be to cultivate and establish strategic partnerships with insurers, adeptly navigate the complexities of the local market and its regulatory landscape, and execute commercial strategies designed to deliver tangible and measurable revenue growth.
- • You will collaborate closely with the Country Manager and senior leadership, playing a pivotal role in shaping BJAK's expansion strategy within the UK. This role demands end-to-end ownership, encompassing the successful development of partnerships, achievement of revenue targets, and consistent delivery of performance metrics.
- • **Partnership Acquisition & Activation:** This core aspect of the role involves identifying, prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and ultimately closing strategic partnerships with insurers and key ecosystem players. You will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of these partnerships, from the initial outreach and relationship building, through intricate negotiations, seamless onboarding, technical integration, and successful go-live.
- • A critical objective is to facilitate rapid market entry for BJAK by minimizing activation timelines. This will be achieved through proactive stakeholder alignment and efficient management of all involved parties, ensuring a swift and effective launch of new partnerships.
- • **Pipeline Ownership & Execution:** You will build, own, and meticulously manage a robust and transparent pipeline of potential insurer and strategic partners within the UK. This requires disciplined follow-up, impeccable CRM hygiene, and clear, consistent reporting to ensure steady deal progression and successful closures.
- • A key expectation is operating with a sense of urgency; there is no room for stalled deals or unresolved issues. Your proactive approach will be crucial in maintaining momentum and driving towards successful outcomes.
- • **Commercial Negotiation & Deal Closure:** You will lead complex commercial negotiations, demonstrating strong judgment regarding pricing strategies, underwriting alignment, and the overall economic viability of partnership agreements. Close collaboration with our legal, product, technology, operations, and compliance teams will be essential to finalize agreements and accelerate execution.
- • Your ability to align diverse internal and external stakeholders will be critical for ensuring a smooth onboarding process and achieving timely go-lives for all new partnerships.
- • **Revenue Delivery & Partner Performance:** You will be directly accountable for meeting monthly targets for revenue, policy acquisition, and activation metrics. Post-go-live, your role will extend to actively driving partner productivity, fostering volume growth, and ensuring optimal KPI performance.
- • A significant part of your responsibility will be identifying opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, and strategic optimization, with the ultimate goal of transforming initial partnerships into long-term, scalable, and highly profitable revenue streams.
- • **Strategic Leadership & Market Advisory:** You will serve as a key strategic advisor to the Country Manager, providing critical insights into UK market dynamics, insurer behaviors, regulatory considerations, and emerging growth opportunities. You may be required to represent the Country Manager in meetings, calls, and written communications with partners, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
- • You will act as the primary liaison between BJAK leadership, external partners, and internal teams, facilitating rapid decision-making and efficient execution of strategies.
- • **Operational Excellence & Governance:** Proactively identifying, escalating, and resolving any partner-related or execution issues will be crucial, all while upholding the highest standards of service delivery. You will contribute to strategic planning, policy development, and operational improvements in conjunction with senior leadership.
- • Support will be provided for resource and capacity planning, including input on staffing needs and operational priorities that align with the company's growth trajectory. Ensuring full compliance with company policies, procedures, and all relevant UK regulatory requirements is non-negotiable.
- • Clear, concise, and accurate communication across all stakeholder groups is essential for supporting effective operations and maintaining strong relationships.
