  • • As the Business Development Manager for the UK market, you will be instrumental in establishing and expanding BJAK's presence, acting as the primary on-the-ground representative for building crucial strategic partnerships with insurers and key ecosystem players.
  • • Your core mission will involve deeply understanding and navigating the intricate local market dynamics and regulatory landscape of the United Kingdom, translating this knowledge into actionable commercial strategies that demonstrably drive revenue growth and market penetration.
  • • You will collaborate closely with the Country Manager and other senior leadership members, playing a pivotal role in shaping BJAK's overarching growth strategy for the UK, while simultaneously taking ownership of the end-to-end execution across all facets of partnership development, revenue generation, and performance management.
  • • A significant part of your role will be dedicated to **Partnership Acquisition & Activation**, where you will be expected to proactively identify, prospect, qualify, negotiate, and ultimately close strategic partnerships with insurers and other relevant entities within ambitious timelines.
  • • You will manage the entire partnership lifecycle, from the initial outreach and meticulous relationship building, through complex negotiations, seamless onboarding processes, technical and operational integration, and finally, to the successful go-live of these partnerships.
  • • A key objective is to drive rapid market entry for new partnerships, minimizing activation timelines by ensuring proactive alignment and buy-in from all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • • Furthermore, you will be responsible for **Pipeline Ownership & Execution**, building, maintaining, and managing a robust, visible, and dynamic pipeline of potential insurer and strategic partners specifically within the UK market.
  • • This requires maintaining disciplined follow-up procedures, ensuring impeccable accuracy and hygiene within the CRM system, and providing clear, concise, and regular reporting to guarantee consistent deal progression and successful closures.
  • • A core tenet of this role is operating with a sense of urgency; the expectation is that there will be no stalled deals and no unresolved loose ends, fostering a culture of proactive problem-solving and efficient deal management.
  • • In **Commercial Negotiation & Deal Closure**, you will take the lead in all commercial negotiations, leveraging strong judgment to ensure favorable terms related to pricing, underwriting alignment, and overall partnership economics.
  • • You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including legal, product, technology, operations, and compliance, to finalize agreements and accelerate the execution of these partnerships.
  • • Your ability to align diverse internal and external stakeholders will be critical for ensuring a smooth onboarding experience and achieving timely go-lives for all new partnerships.
  • • The role also encompasses **Revenue Delivery & Partner Performance**, where you will own the monthly targets for revenue, policy acquisition, and activation metrics.
  • • Post go-live, your responsibility extends to continuously driving partner productivity, fostering volume growth, and ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are met and exceeded.
  • • You will be tasked with identifying opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, and optimization within existing partnerships, with the goal of transforming them into long-term, scalable, and highly profitable revenue streams.
  • • As a key contributor to **Strategic Leadership & Market Advisory**, you will serve as a vital strategic advisor to the Country Manager, providing critical insights into UK market dynamics, insurer behaviors, evolving regulatory considerations, and emerging growth opportunities.
  • • You may be required to represent the Country Manager in important meetings, calls, and written communications with partners, regulatory bodies, and other key stakeholders, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and strategic acumen.
  • • You will act as the primary liaison between senior leadership, external partners, and internal teams, facilitating rapid decision-making and efficient execution of business initiatives.
  • • Finally, in **Operational Excellence & Governance**, you will proactively identify, escalate, and resolve any issues related to partners or execution, always maintaining the highest standards of service delivery and operational integrity.
  • • You will contribute significantly to strategic planning processes, the development of new policies, and the implementation of operational improvements in conjunction with senior leadership.
  • • Support will be provided for resource and capacity planning, including valuable input on staffing requirements and operational priorities that are directly aligned with the company's projected business growth.
  • • Ensuring full compliance with all company policies, internal procedures, and the specific regulatory requirements of the UK market is paramount.
  • • Clear, concise, and accurate communication across all stakeholder groups will be essential for supporting effective and efficient operations.
