- • As a Business Development Representative at Relayfi Inc., you will play a pivotal role in driving customer acquisition for a fast-growing fintech company that empowers self-made business owners with digital banking tools designed to bring clarity, confidence, and control to their finances. Your work will directly contribute to transforming financial uncertainty into actionable insights, enabling small businesses to run stronger, more resilient operations—making this role essential to Relay’s mission of turning hard work into lasting success.
- • You will own the early stages of the sales cycle by prospecting, qualifying, and nurturing leads through multi-channel outreach, ensuring a steady flow of qualified opportunities for Account Executives. Your day-to-day activities will center on building relationships, understanding client needs, and positioning Relay’s virtual banking solutions as the ideal fit for small business owners and their advisors, all while maintaining a high standard of customer experience and sales excellence.
- • You will be part of a dynamic, high-growth Sales team within a mission-driven fintech startup that values innovation, autonomy, and impact. Relay fosters a culture where initiative is rewarded, feedback is embraced as a tool for growth, and team members are encouraged to challenge the status quo to create better outcomes for small businesses across North America.
- • In this role, you will accelerate your career in fintech sales by mastering lead qualification, consultative outreach, CRM utilization, and sales process optimization. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, data-informed environment where your contributions are measured by tangible results, and you’ll have the opportunity to shape and improve sales strategies through collaboration with leadership and peers.
- • You will ensure that qualified leads are prospected and meetings are scheduled with Account Executives, maintaining a healthy pipeline through consistent outbound and inbound engagement.
- • You will qualify sales leads via calls, emails, texts, and social outreach to uncover the specific financial needs and pain points of small business owners and their advisors, tailoring your approach to align with Relay’s value proposition.
- • You will pitch Relay’s partnership program by highlighting relevant product features—such as real-time cash flow visibility, expense tracking, and seamless accounting integrations—based on the unique goals and challenges of each prospect.
- • You will schedule a high volume of meetings with qualified leads through strategic outbound outreach, balancing assigned account management with self-sourced prospecting to maximize coverage and efficiency.
- • Through your discovery conversations, you will gather critical business insights—including transaction volumes, banking pain points, and advisory relationships—to equip Account Executives with the context needed for successful demos and closures.
- • You will collaborate with the Sales team to analyze performance metrics, test new outreach tactics, and refine sales processes to improve conversion rates, response times, and overall team efficiency.
🎯 Requirements
- • 1+ years of experience in a high-volume sales role, such as retail, staffing agency, or previous BDR/SDR experience
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate value clearly across phone, email, and face-to-face interactions
- • High level of self-motivation and autonomy, coupled with a strong work ethic and receptiveness to feedback and new sales strategies
- • Proven track record in cold calling and experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms
- • Prior exposure to SaaS, fintech, accounting software, or neobank environments, preferably with experience working with SMBs in North America
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive OTE compensation ranging from $79,000 to $97,428, with a typical starting salary of $88,500 for candidates demonstrating full readiness
- • Opportunity to work in a high-impact, mission-driven fintech startup where your contributions directly support small business success
- • Clear path for career growth and professional development within a rapidly scaling sales organization
