- • As a Business Development Representative, you will play a pivotal role in fueling our continued global expansion. You will be at the forefront of identifying and cultivating new partnership opportunities, directly contributing to the growth of our prestigious portfolio of events. This role is crucial for building the top of our sales funnel, ensuring a consistent flow of qualified leads that will empower our sales teams to close significant deals and expand our global customer base.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to conduct extensive outreach and prospecting activities. This involves meticulously researching potential partners, identifying key decision-makers within target organizations, and initiating contact through various channels. You will be tasked with understanding the unique needs and objectives of prospective partners and articulating how Web Summit’s unparalleled platform can deliver exceptional value and achieve their business goals.
- • A significant part of your role will involve qualifying leads. This means engaging in insightful conversations to assess the genuine interest and potential fit of each prospect. You will need to ask probing questions, actively listen to responses, and discern whether a prospect aligns with our partnership criteria and has the potential to become a valuable contributor to our events.
- • You will work in close collaboration with our experienced Partnerships team. This team is responsible for recruiting and curating the experience of a diverse range of advertisers, exhibitors, and partners, including industry giants like Google, Meta, HSBC, Box, KPMG, Audi, Coca Cola, and hundreds more. By generating high-quality leads, you will enable them to offer attendees unique and engaging experiences, whether through innovative activations on the conference floor, engaging online platforms, or exclusive networking dinners.
- • The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in sales and business development, demonstrating a consistent ability to generate leads and build a robust pipeline. Excellent communication skills are paramount, enabling you to articulate Web Summit’s value proposition clearly and persuasively. You should be adept at building rapport and establishing trust with potential clients from diverse backgrounds and industries.
- • Furthermore, strong negotiation skills will be beneficial as you engage with prospects to understand their needs and position our partnership offerings.
