- • As a Business Development Representative (BDR) in Sydney, Australia, you will be at the forefront of our growth strategy, acting as the initial point of contact for promising e-commerce founders. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and engage with potential clients, understand their unique business challenges, and introduce them to Wayflyer's innovative financing solutions.
- • This role is crucial for building our sales pipeline and driving revenue growth within the vibrant Australian e-commerce market. You will be instrumental in educating founders about how Wayflyer can be a strategic partner in their journey, helping them overcome financial hurdles and accelerate their business expansion.
- • You will employ a multi-channel outreach strategy, leveraging creative and personalized methods to connect with e-commerce leaders. This includes making outbound calls, crafting compelling and tailored email campaigns, and utilizing LinkedIn and other social selling techniques to capture attention and generate interest.
- • Your goal is to not just set up meetings, but to build genuine rapport and establish trust with potential customers. You will act as a trusted advisor, understanding their business objectives and demonstrating how Wayflyer's offerings can directly address their needs, fostering a sense of partnership akin to a co-founder.
- • A key aspect of your role will involve qualifying leads, ensuring that the prospects you identify are a strong fit for Wayflyer's services. This requires a deep understanding of the e-commerce landscape, common growth challenges, and the specific value proposition Wayflyer brings to the table.
- • You will work closely with a dedicated team of Account Executives (AEs), providing them with high-quality, well-qualified leads and detailed insights into each prospect's business situation. This collaborative approach ensures a seamless handover and maximizes the chances of conversion.
- • Beyond direct outreach, you will contribute to Wayflyer's market intelligence by staying informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the Australian e-commerce sector. Your feedback will be invaluable in refining our go-to-market strategies.
- • This position is designed as a launchpad for a successful career in sales within the fintech industry. You will participate in our comprehensive Revenue Academy, which provides rigorous training and development to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel.
- • Upon successful completion of the BDR phase, typically within 12-18 months, you will have the opportunity to progress into more senior roles, such as an Account Executive or Customer Success Associate, taking on greater responsibility and further advancing your career trajectory.
