- • As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Reality Defender, you will be a pivotal early-career sales professional with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, joining our dynamic outbound Sales team based in New York City. This role is designed for individuals eager to make a tangible impact by driving business revenue and shaping our outbound sales strategy. You will be instrumental in researching prospective customers, experimenting with outreach methodologies, and defining the most effective ways to connect with potential clients.
- • Your primary responsibilities will involve meticulously prospecting into strategic business accounts. This will be achieved through a multi-channel approach, including cold calling, targeted email campaigns, and leveraging social selling strategies to educate potential clients about Reality Defender's cutting-edge products and their critical importance in today's threat landscape.
- • You will work in close collaboration with the broader Sales team to conceptualize, develop, and implement innovative prospecting strategies. The goal is to cultivate a robust and sustainable sales pipeline, ensuring a consistent flow of qualified opportunities.
- • A key aspect of the role involves actively engaging with inbound leads. You will apply rigorous qualification assessments through initial communications, ensuring that we are focusing our efforts on the most promising prospects and tracking ongoing metrics to refine our approach.
- • You will also provide crucial support to the Product-Led Growth (PLG) sales motion. This includes promoting the usage of our Free Tier to self-service paying customers and contributing to the broader enterprise sales motions by identifying and nurturing potential high-value accounts.
- • A significant part of your contribution will be through experimentation. You will be encouraged to test different audiences, refine messaging, and explore various communication channels to identify and generate new business opportunities that align with Reality Defender's growth objectives.
- • Within your first month, you will immerse yourself in Reality Defender's product offerings, gaining a deep understanding of their capabilities and value proposition. You will also learn the intricacies of our sales process and how to effectively collaborate with both the Sales and Marketing teams. Your initial focus will include qualifying inbound leads and supporting the discovery and qualification process, alongside actively engaging in lead generation and prospecting activities.
- • By the three-month mark, you will be actively supporting the conversion of Product-Led Growth (PLG) generated Product Qualified Leads (PQLs) into paying customers and contributing to the enterprise sales pipeline. You will develop proficiency in researching prospects to precisely match them against Reality Defender’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). You will leverage existing sales enablement materials and craft custom messaging to nurture qualified prospects effectively into the sales pipeline. Furthermore, you will be encouraged to experiment with new strategies by establishing small-scale tests with leads before integrating successful approaches into your regular sourcing efforts.
- • Within six months, you will be a key contributor, participating in meetings booked with Account Executives and ensuring a smooth, successful handoff of qualified prospects. You will develop the ability to analyze data from your outreach efforts to identify trends and implement improvements to internal practices. Maintaining accurate and detailed data management within our CRM systems will be crucial to support future sales predictions and strategic planning.
- • By the end of your first year, you will be a seasoned member of the team, capable of training new hires on how to effectively position Reality Defender’s product offerings. You will frequently collaborate with Sales and Marketing team members to develop new educational materials for prospects and customers. Critically, you will be empowered to identify bottlenecks within the sales pipeline and proactively suggest strategic solutions to overcome these challenges, driving continuous improvement and efficiency.
