  • • This Business Development Representative role in EMEA (German Speaking) at OpenAI serves as a strategic launchpad for future enterprise sellers, focusing on turning product usage, pilots, and inbound demand into qualified enterprise opportunities for Large Enterprise and Strategic Accounts teams.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include partnering with Account Directors on account strategy and deal progression, designing and executing targeted outbound strategies using industry context and stakeholder mapping, leading high-quality discovery to uncover business priorities and map stakeholders, contributing to pipeline reviews with outbound activity and account insights, and building AI-enabled GTM workflows (GPTs/agents) to scale prospecting and qualification.
  • • The role sits within OpenAI’s Enterprise Go-To-Market organization, which partners with global enterprises in Financial Services, Life Sciences, and Retail to deploy AI solutions at scale, with Business Development acting as the critical bridge between technical curiosity and executive engagement.
  • • The individual will develop core enterprise sales skills in discovery, stakeholder mapping, deal shaping, and executive communication while gaining deep exposure to how leading companies adopt AI, positioning them for accelerated progression into world-class enterprise selling roles at OpenAI.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 4+ years of relevant experience in enterprise sales or strategic customer-facing roles in finance or consulting
  • • Proven track record of consistently hitting and exceeding ambitious targets in enterprise or strategic sales environments
  • • Experience selling into regulated or complex industries such as Financial Services, Life Sciences, or Retail
  • • Strong communication skills and executive presence with ability to build credibility with C-Suite stakeholders and technical buyers
  • • Strong interest in the AI landscape and ability to connect OpenAI products to real customer value and business outcomes
  • • Comfort with ambiguity, fast-paced environments, and high degree of ownership
