- • As a Business Development Representative at Docker, you will play a critical role in driving growth by identifying and qualifying high-potential leads from Docker’s vast user base of over 20 million monthly users, directly contributing to the company’s mission of simplifying app development and empowering developers worldwide.
- • You will be the first point of contact for prospects, responsible for understanding their needs, articulating Docker’s value proposition, and setting the stage for successful sales engagements by scheduling discovery meetings and nurturing early-stage opportunities in a remote-first, high-impact environment.
- • Your day-to-day will involve proactive outreach to existing Docker users showing commercial intent through cold calls, personalized emails, social engagement, and chat, leveraging tools like Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Outreach, and Sales Navigator to build targeted lists and track engagement.
- • You will conduct discovery conversations to uncover pain points, assess fit with Docker’s commercial offerings, and qualify leads based on budget, authority, need, and timeline (BANT), ensuring only high-quality opportunities are passed to Account Executives.
- • You will maintain rigorous CRM hygiene in Salesforce, log all activities accurately, and adhere to team KPIs around call volume, email response rates, meeting conversion, and pipeline contribution.
- • You will collaborate closely with Account Executives, Sales Enablement, and Marketing to refine messaging, share customer insights, and co-develop territory-specific prospecting strategies that resonate with developers, DevOps teams, and enterprise decision-makers.
- • You will participate in team development activities, including peer shadowing, knowledge sharing, and mentoring newer team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collective success.
- • You will represent Docker’s brand with professionalism and authenticity at every touchpoint, ensuring prospects feel valued and informed—whether through a thoughtful email, a consultative call, or timely follow-up.
- • You will gain deep expertise in Docker’s product suite, including Docker Desktop, Docker Hub, Docker Scout, and Docker Business, enabling you to speak confidently about use cases like CI/CD integration, security scanning, and multi-cloud deployment.
- • You will develop advanced sales skills in consultative prospecting, objection handling, and sales technology mastery, positioning yourself for rapid career progression into Account Executive or Sales Leadership roles within Docker’s high-growth organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • 1+ years of proven experience in a sales, business development, or lead generation role with a track record of meeting or exceeding quotas
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening, persuasive messaging, and professional phone etiquette
- • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and thrive in a remote-first environment
- • Proficiency with CRM platforms (preferably Salesforce) and sales engagement tools such as Outreach, Sales Navigator, or ZoomInfo
- • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing pipelines, logging activities, and maintaining data accuracy
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
