Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • We're looking for Business Development Representatives to join our team in launching a new SME insurance business from the ground up.
- • As a Business Development Representative, you'll be the person introducing our new insurance offering to businesses who are tired of the status quo.
- • You'll help SMEs move away from complicated, slow insurance policies and make them aware of a fairer, more transparent way to protect their business.
- • You'll proactively engage with SME business operators by phone ahead of their business insurance renewal date to offer a better alternative.
- • You'll master the art of the pitch—navigating gatekeepers, articulating our value proposition, and turning objections into opportunities for our brokers to help them.
- • You'll manage your pipeline end-to-end within our HubSpot CRM, ensuring meticulous record-keeping and proactive follow-ups so that no opportunity is missed.
- • You'll collaborate closely with our in-house brokers and wider team to turn early customer feedback into insights that refine our product offering and sales strategy.
🎯 Requirements
- • Previous experience navigating outbound or client-facing interactions within a professional business environment.
- • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence decisions, and handle commercial objections over the phone and email.
- • A high-energy, resilient, and results-oriented personality that thrives on achieving goals.
- • Organised and proactive approach to managing your workload.
- • Ability to adapt and excel in a fast-moving, high-growth atmosphere.
- • Eagerness to learn - insurance industry experience isn’t necessary - we will provide training to help you succeed.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Flexible working hours.
- • Medical insurance from Vitality, including discounted gym membership.
- • A private GP service (separate from Vitality) for you, your partner, and your dependents.
- • 25 days’ holiday per year, an extra day off for your birthday, the option to buy or sell an additional five days of annual leave, and unlimited unpaid leave.
- • A one-month, fully paid sabbatical after four years.
- • Instant access to external counselling and therapy sessions for team members that need emotional or mental health support.
- • 3% Pension contributions on total earnings.
- • An employee equity incentive scheme.
- • Generous parental leave and a nursery tax benefit scheme to help you save money.
- • Electric car scheme and cycle to work scheme.
- • Two company retreats a year: we’ve been to France, Italy, Spain, and further afield.
- • A learning and development budget for everyone.
- • Company-wide talks with internal and external speakers.
- • Access to learning platforms like Treehouse.
