- • As a Business Development Representative focused on the U.S. Navy, you will be on the front lines of identifying, qualifying, and shaping opportunities that align Defense Unicorns’ technologies with Navy missions and program needs, directly contributing to accelerated software delivery for the fleet.
- • Day to day, you will build and maintain relationships with Navy stakeholders, program managers, and industry partners; generate and qualify opportunities across Navy programs; collaborate with Account Executives to shape opportunities early in the acquisition cycle; track Navy priorities, funding lines, and acquisition strategies; share mission and technical insights with Growth and Engineering teams; and represent Defense Unicorns at Navy-focused industry days, conferences, and working groups.
- • You will join a mission-driven team of innovators, software engineers, and veterans with decades of experience delivering technology programs across the federal market, working within a remote-first culture that values kindness, trust, and speed.
- • In this role, you will develop expertise in Navy acquisition processes, expand your skills in business development and capture strategy, and grow your impact by connecting cutting-edge secure software solutions to critical Navy program offices such as NAVSEA, NAVAIR, and NAVWAR.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2–4 years of experience in business development, capture, or sales, with defense industry experience preferred
- • Strong understanding of Navy acquisition processes, program offices, and budget cycles
- • Excellent communication skills for building trusted relationships and clear, concise written communication
- • Growth mindset, curiosity, and a bias for action
- • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative startup environment
