- • Prospect, identify, engage, and qualify new business opportunities for Spellbook’s SMB segment through cold calls, emails, social media, and other outreach channels.
- • Maintain a high daily activity volume including outbound calls, personalized emails, and digital touches to consistently generate new pipeline.
- • Develop and execute targeted outreach campaigns in green space markets with minimal existing brand awareness, collaborating directly with the BDR Manager to design and refine strategies.
- • Build a deep understanding of Spellbook’s AI-powered legal workflow product to clearly articulate its value proposition to transactional lawyers, law firms, and in-house legal teams.
- • Set qualified, bookable appointments for the SMB sales team by accurately assessing prospect fit, needs, and readiness to engage.
- • Log and maintain 100% accurate, up-to-date activity data in CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot or Salesforce) with strict attention to data hygiene and completeness.
- • Participate in weekly workshops including role-playing, copy refinement, and call reviews to test, learn, and optimize messaging, sequences, and tactics.
- • Provide actionable feedback to improve outbound materials such as email templates, call scripts, and value propositions based on real-time prospect responses.
- • Track campaign performance using data-driven metrics while applying contextual judgment to assess likelihood of deal conversion.
- • Develop and present new best practices, outreach strategies, and engagement techniques to the BDR team to scale outbound motion effectiveness.
- • Work alongside leadership to implement, refine, and document SDR/BDR workflows, processes, and standards for repeatable success.
- • Own a defined account list or territory, leveraging intent signals, firmographic data, and behavioral trends to time outreach with maximum impact.
- • Self-direct daily workflow to meet activity targets without micromanagement, understanding the volume of inputs required to hit quotas.
- • Utilize sales engagement platforms (e.g., Outreach, SalesLoft) and CRM tools proficiently to automate and track outreach at scale.
- • Stay informed on legal tech industry trends, competitor activity, and market shifts to identify untapped opportunities for growth.
- • Adapt quickly to evolving sales motions as Spellbook scales its SMB outreach with limited precedent and high autonomy.
- • Perform additional duties as assigned to support team goals, aligned with the scope and level of the BDR role.
🎯 Requirements
- • 1+ years of relevant sales experience in a Business Development Representative or similar outbound role
- • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales quotas
- • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and sales engagement tools (e.g., Outreach, SalesLoft)
