  • • We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Business Development Senior Director with a deep specialization in the Connected TV (CTV) and programmatic advertising ecosystem.
  • • This executive leadership role is instrumental in representing OpenX to the most influential CTV publishers, streaming platforms, major broadcasters, and other premium video supply partners.
  • • Your primary mission will be to identify, cultivate, and secure strategic, long-term partnerships within the rapidly evolving CTV landscape.
  • • You will be responsible for leveraging the full suite of OpenX’s innovative solutions, including our robust exchange, Private Marketplace (PMP) platform, advanced identity and data assets, the premium curated OpenX Select offering, and our comprehensive CTV publisher product suite.
  • • The ultimate goal is to drive significant, measurable increases in value for our publisher partners and, consequently, for OpenX.
  • • As a senior member of the Publisher Development team, you will be expected to apply your profound understanding of the CTV landscape and the intricacies of the programmatic ecosystem.
  • • This expertise will be crucial for onboarding new premium CTV supply partners, enhancing and refining our existing CTV product offerings to meet market demands, sharpening our unique value proposition, and deepening our strategic understanding of the competitive markets in which OpenX operates.
  • • You will be entrusted with owning and nurturing OpenX’s relationships with your assigned portfolio of key CTV publishers.
  • • In this capacity, you will serve as a trusted strategic advisor and primary point of contact for publisher-facing teams, including Account Management and Sales Engineering, ensuring seamless collaboration and optimal client outcomes.
  • • You will work in close alignment with the Regional Vice President (RVP) of Publisher Development to collaboratively shape and execute OpenX’s overarching CTV supply strategy.
  • • This role demands a proactive approach to market analysis, identifying emerging trends, competitive threats, and untapped opportunities within the CTV space.
  • • You will be responsible for developing and executing tailored partnership strategies that align with the specific needs and objectives of each strategic publisher.
  • • This includes conducting in-depth business reviews, presenting compelling business cases, and negotiating complex partnership agreements.
  • • A key aspect of the role involves collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to provide market feedback, influencing the roadmap for our CTV solutions and ensuring they remain at the forefront of innovation.
  • • You will be expected to act as a thought leader, both internally and externally, contributing to OpenX’s reputation as an innovator and trusted partner in the CTV advertising domain.
  • • This includes participating in industry events, writing thought leadership pieces, and building a strong professional network within the CTV ecosystem.
  • • Success in this role will be measured by the ability to drive significant revenue growth from new and existing CTV partnerships, expand OpenX’s market share in the CTV segment, and foster deep, long-lasting relationships with key industry players.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or a related sales leadership role within the digital advertising technology (AdTech) industry, with a significant focus on Connected TV (CTV) and programmatic advertising.
  • • Proven track record of successfully identifying, negotiating, and closing complex, high-value strategic partnerships with major publishers, broadcasters, or streaming platforms.
  • • Deep understanding of the CTV ecosystem, including ad serving technologies, video players, measurement solutions, data strategies, and the competitive landscape of supply-side platforms (SSPs) and demand-side platforms (DSPs).
  • • Strong existing network of relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at leading CTV publishers and streaming services.
