We are a team of experienced professionals from diverse backgrounds, including Stripe, Square, Plaid, Coinbase, Robinhood, and CERN, all united by a shared passion for creating impactful tools for small businesses. We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Business Operations and Strategy Lead to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in shaping our strategic direction and operational efficiency.
- • In this role, you will be instrumental in identifying, defining, and executing high-impact operational and strategic initiatives across the entire organization. You will leverage your expertise in business analytics, market research, and data-driven insights to support critical decision-making processes, guiding Parafin through some of the most pivotal strategic choices we face. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to building a next-generation fintech company from the ground up, taking new company functions from conception to full implementation.
- • You will be responsible for designing, building, and refining business processes that are scalable and efficient, ensuring that Parafin can grow effectively. A key aspect of this role involves driving cross-functional alignment on priorities, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that strategic initiatives are executed smoothly and successfully. Your ability to connect with various teams and stakeholders will be vital in achieving our collective goals.
- • The Business Operations and Strategy Lead will also conduct ad hoc analyses on a wide range of critical business areas. This includes, but is not limited to, impact sizing for new opportunities, analyzing partner acquisition strategies, understanding cohort patterns, evaluating unit economics, optimizing operational workflows, exploring new market potentials, and much more. Essentially, you will be empowered to do whatever is necessary to help Parafin create significant value for both our small business customers and our platform partners.

🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of total work experience, with at least 3 years in management consulting, operations, strategic finance, private equity, or a similar role at a technology company.
- • Strong fluency in (or a strong desire to learn) data analysis skills and tools, such as SQL and Looker.
- • Proven experience in building and rolling out new processes from scratch, demonstrating an ability to establish scalable operational frameworks.
- • Superb communication skills, encompassing writing, data visualization, and oral presentation, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- • A natural problem solver, adept at tackling challenges both with data and with people, fostering collaborative solutions.
- • Proven ability to work and thrive in productively chaotic environments, demonstrating resilience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to driving results.
- • Ruthless prioritization skills combined with creative and analytical thinking, capable of identifying and focusing on the most impactful initiatives.
