đź“‹ Description

  • • As a Business Operations Lead at Rain Technologies, Inc., you will be a pivotal high-leverage operator instrumental in scaling our hypergrowth fintech company. Reporting directly to the Head of Business Operations, your primary mission is to drive alignment and execution across the organization. This involves building and refining the operational systems that ensure we remain focused on our most critical objectives, while also providing hands-on support for the company's most pressing priorities. This role offers a dynamic blend of strategic thinking and practical, operational execution, making it ideal for individuals who thrive on tackling diverse challenges and transforming ambiguity into concrete action.
  • • You will be responsible for enhancing Rain's operating cadence, a critical function for a rapidly expanding company. This includes evolving our planning cycles, refining our Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) framework, and optimizing our business review processes. The goal is to ensure all teams are clearly aligned on overarching goals, understand the necessary trade-offs, and have visibility into progress. By establishing a robust operating rhythm, you will foster a more cohesive and efficient work environment, enabling faster decision-making and execution.
  • • A significant part of your role will involve driving high-impact, cross-functional initiatives. You will lead complex projects and manage programs that require collaboration across multiple departments. This necessitates strong program management skills, the ability to navigate diverse stakeholder needs, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Your leadership in these initiatives will be crucial for achieving key company milestones and strategic objectives.
  • • You will play a key role in defining and operationalizing our core business metrics. This involves partnering closely with team leads to identify and establish Rain's key performance indicators (KPIs). You will be responsible for building a streamlined company scorecard and setting up real-time dashboards. These tools will provide leadership with immediate insights into the company's performance, enabling data-driven decision-making and agile adjustments to strategy.
  • • A core competency of this role is bringing structure to ambiguous problems. You will tackle broad, often undefined questions, such as "which market should we be prioritizing?" or "how can we get customers live faster?" Your approach will involve translating these fuzzy inquiries into clear hypotheses, conducting thorough analyses, and developing actionable plans. More importantly, you will be the driving force behind the execution of these plans, ensuring that insights translate into tangible results and measurable progress.
  • • The ideal candidate is a structured problem-solver, capable of dissecting complex, cross-functional challenges into manageable components and formulating pragmatic plans. You must possess the ability to operate effectively at all levels, from high-level strategic discussions with leadership to hands-on execution of tasks. A strong bias for action is essential; you should be adept at moving quickly, unblocking yourself, and prioritizing outcomes over the perfection of documentation or adherence to rigid frameworks. Excellent communication and program management skills are paramount, enabling you to synthesize complexity into clear narratives, lead productive meetings, and influence stakeholders without formal authority.
  • • Analytical rigor and a metrics-minded approach are crucial. You should be comfortable working with spreadsheets, dashboards, and basic SQL/BI tools, with a keen focus on deriving actionable insights (the "so what") rather than just reporting numbers. A low-ego, collaborative attitude is highly valued, as is an enthusiasm for being the connective tissue that binds the organization together. Prior experience in fintech, payments, crypto, card programs, or financial infrastructure is highly desirable, as is a background of 7-10+ years in Business Operations, Strategy, Consulting, Investment Banking, PE/VC, Product Management, or similar roles demanding high analytical capability and ownership.
  • • This role is designed for an individual who is energized by driving operational excellence and enabling a fast-paced company to scale effectively. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact at a well-funded, innovative company at the forefront of the next generation of global payments.
