  • • As a Business Recruiter for APAC at OpenAI, you will play a pivotal role in building critical General & Administrative (G&A) and User Operations teams that support the company’s mission to build safe AGI that benefits humanity.
  • • You will own end-to-end hiring processes for roles in Finance, Legal, People, Operations, and User Operations, from role scoping and calibration through to offer and close, ensuring alignment with business priorities and high hiring standards.
  • • You will partner closely with senior leaders across G&A and User Operations to define hiring strategies, translate business needs into talent plans, and act as a trusted advisor who challenges assumptions and maintains a rigorous hiring bar.
  • • You will build and execute proactive, data-informed sourcing strategies to attract diverse, high-calibre talent across competitive and emerging markets in the APAC region, leveraging modern tools and market intelligence.
  • • You will deliver an exceptional candidate experience that reflects OpenAI’s values, while collaborating with People, Legal, and Compensation teams to ensure compliance, fairness, and consistency in global hiring practices.
  • • You will continuously improve recruiting processes by identifying bottlenecks and implementing scalable solutions to enhance both quality and velocity of hiring.
  • • You will bring market insights and recruitment intelligence to stakeholders, influencing hiring decisions and shaping long-term talent strategy for scaling operations sustainably.
  • • You will operate as a strategic talent partner, navigating ambiguity and managing multiple complex searches simultaneously without compromising on quality or execution.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in-house at high-growth or high-bar organizations
  • • Proven track record of hiring for G&A and/or User Operations functions such as Finance, Legal, People, Operations, or User Ops
  • • Strong talent judgment with ability to assess both experience and potential, consistently raising the hiring bar
  • • Comfortable operating as a strategic partner, influencing senior stakeholders and navigating ambiguity
  • • Highly execution-oriented, capable of managing multiple complex searches simultaneously without sacrificing quality
  • • Skilled in building talent pipelines from scratch, especially in competitive or emerging markets
  • • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across regions and cultures
  • • Data-informed and structured approach, using insights to guide decisions and improve recruiting outcomes
  • • Experience with modern recruiting tools (e.g. Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter) and a mindset for leveraging new technologies
