- • Amplify Education, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to join our dynamic People Technology team. As a pioneer in K-12 education since 2000, Amplify is dedicated to creating next-generation curriculum and assessment programs that engage all students in rigorous learning and inspire critical thinking. Our mission is to empower educators with powerful tools to understand and respond to the unique needs of every student, serving over 15 million students nationwide.
- • In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in optimizing our People Technology and HR processes, working closely with the People Tech Product Owner, People Operations, and Finance departments. Your primary focus will be on enhancing and supporting our critical Human Capital Management (HCM) systems, ensuring they are efficient, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals.
- • You will act as a key liaison, translating complex business needs into clear, actionable functional requirements. This involves conducting thorough requirements walkthroughs and workshops with both development and business teams to ensure a deep understanding of use cases and functional specifications. Your contributions will directly shape the People Tech roadmap and drive system improvements.
- • A significant part of your responsibility will involve acquiring and documenting requirements for sophisticated system enhancements, particularly within Workday and its integrated systems. This will be done in the format of user stories and acceptance criteria, adhering to agile development methodologies. You will also be tasked with building and refining business and technical workflows that support the employee lifecycle and ensure HR compliance.
- • Proactively review existing processes and procedures, offering strategic recommendations to the People Operations team for optimizing efficiencies and standardizing data integrity. This includes identifying potential impacts on upstream and downstream processes related to Payroll, Benefits, and HR Reporting, and facilitating cross-departmental communication to manage these changes effectively.
- • You will collaborate closely with the People Tech Product Owner to meticulously manage the product backlog, ensuring that epics and user stories are well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with business personas. This ensures that our technology solutions directly address user needs and strategic objectives.
- • A critical aspect of this role is performing and facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new implementations and Workday upgrades. You will be responsible for creating comprehensive test plans and test cases that accurately reflect business requirements and acceptance criteria, ensuring the quality and reliability of our systems.
- • You will play a key role in Change Control meetings, prioritizing information and acquiring necessary approvals for the release and deployment of system changes. This requires a keen understanding of the impact of changes and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- • Leveraging various datasets, you will solve complex issues and drive informed business decisions, always maintaining strict confidentiality regarding sensitive employee and contractor data. Your analytical skills will be crucial in identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- • You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the configuration of Workday and other associated People Technology systems, ensuring seamless operation and user satisfaction.
- • Collaborate with Product Owners to scope strategic initiatives, assess technical feasibility, and contribute to the overall People Tech strategy. This includes researching industry-standard best practices for HRIS/HCM processes, such as privacy regulations and payroll automation, and proactively proposing system enhancements that align Amplify with industry leaders.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to impact the efficiency and effectiveness of HR operations within a leading educational organization, contributing to a positive employee experience and supporting Amplify's mission to transform K-12 education.
