- • Own the end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) technology stack at Freshworks, acting as the single-threaded leader who turns complex subscription, usage-based and hybrid pricing models into bullet-proof, scalable systems that delight Finance, Sales and Customers alike.
- • Architect and continuously evolve the O2C roadmap—translating business strategy into concrete epics, user stories and technical blueprints for NetSuite, Chargebee, Zuora, Stripe, Avalara, Salesforce CPQ and adjacent platforms—so every new product launch, pricing experiment or market expansion lands without a hitch.
- • Design integrations that move data in real time between CRM, billing, taxation, revenue recognition and payment gateways, eliminating swivel-chair processes, reducing manual journal entries by >80 % and cutting invoice-to-cash cycle time to world-class levels.
- • Partner shoulder-to-shoulder with Billing Operations, Revenue Operations, FP&A, Tax, Legal and IT Security to map current-state pain points, run root-cause workshops and deliver elegant, automated fixes that free teams from spreadsheet gymnastics and late-night reconciliations.
- • Build and maintain a modular, micro-service-friendly billing architecture that supports multi-currency, multi-entity, multi-tax-regime complexity while staying SOX-compliant and audit-ready at all times.
- • Establish and monitor KPIs such as billing accuracy, invoice turnaround time, days sales outstanding (DSO), failed-payment recovery rate and revenue leakage; publish monthly dashboards that drive data-backed decisions across Sales, Finance and Customer Success.
- • Lead cross-functional incident response—whether it’s a pricing rule misfire, Avalara tax-calc outage or Stripe webhook storm—restoring service within SLA while documenting post-mortems that harden the platform against future risk.
- • Drive vendor strategy: evaluate emerging O2C tools, negotiate enterprise contracts, retire redundant licenses and champion a “best-of-breed yet integrated” ecosystem that balances innovation with total cost of ownership.
- • Mentor junior analysts and admins, creating reusable runbooks, test scripts and CI/CD pipelines so enhancements roll out safely and regression testing becomes a one-click affair.
- • Champion change management—crafting training decks, lunch-and-learns and in-app guidance—so Sales Ops, Deal Desk and AR teams embrace new capabilities instead of work-arounds.
- • Stay ahead of global regulatory shifts (e.g., India GST, EU VAT e-invoicing, US SaaS sales-tax nexus) and translate them into configurable system rules that keep Freshworks compliant without custom code every quarter.
- • Contribute to M&A integration playbooks, ensuring newly acquired products can be billed, recognized and collected within 90 days of close, leveraging your deep knowledge of data migration, chart-of-accounts mapping and historical revenue cut-over.
- • Present quarterly to the CFO and CIO on system health, roadmap progress and ROI, translating technical milestones into business impact: revenue acceleration, cash-flow improvement and audit-cost reduction.
