📋 Description
- • The CA Workers Comp Adjuster role is a fully remote position within National Interstate, a leading commercial transportation insurer and member of Great American Insurance Group, responsible for managing complex workers' compensation claims with high authority and technical expertise.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a large inventory of highly complex claims, leading comprehensive investigations to determine liability and compensability, analyzing and negotiating settlements within prescribed authority, conveying complex coverage information to stakeholders, authorizing payments, maintaining detailed claim files, and potentially coaching staff or participating in talent decisions.
- • The team operates within a nationally recognized organization known for integrity, transparency, fairness, accountability, empowerment, and collaboration, with a strong focus on serving the wheels-based transportation industry since 1989 and recognized as a top workplace in Northeast Ohio.
- • In this role, the individual can develop deep expertise in California workers' compensation law, enhance leadership and negotiation skills, gain exposure to high-authority claim resolution, and grow as a subject matter expert potentially operating at a peer level to management within a prestigious insurance organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- • Minimum of 13 years of experience in property and casualty claims handling.
- • CA Workers Comp Experience required.
- • Completion of or continuing progress toward a professional designation such as Associate in Claims (AIC) preferred.
- • Expert knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, claims handling procedures, and industry laws and regulations.
- • Advanced ability to organize and prioritize complex caseloads with excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
