You will be the linchpin in managing the complex workflows and stringent compliance requirements that underpin our card issuance and management processes, ensuring that every cardholder's experience is smooth, secure, and reliable. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within a hyper-growth fintech company backed by top-tier investors, shaping the future of borderless financial transactions.
- • In this dynamic role, your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass the full lifecycle of physical card program operations. You will be the primary point of contact for our card manufacturers, processors, and payment networks, meticulously monitoring their performance, proactively identifying areas for improvement, and swiftly resolving any escalations with a high degree of precision and urgency. A key aspect of your role will involve leading the implementation of new card manufacturers and expanding the capabilities of existing ones, working closely with the Head of Card Network Operations to ensure our infrastructure can support evolving program needs and innovative features. You will also serve as a critical strategic partner to our clients, guiding them through the intricacies of card requirements, meticulously managing the onboarding timelines for new card programs, and ensuring that every launch is executed flawlessly, on time, and to specification through robust project management practices. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of physical card billing operations, including supporting the reporting requirements from third-party vendors, ensuring financial accuracy and operational efficiency. To maintain transparency and foster accountability across all stakeholders, you will diligently maintain project trackers, lead regular weekly vendor synchronization meetings, and deliver comprehensive status reports that keep our cross-functional teams, including product and engineering, fully aligned and informed of progress and any potential roadblocks.

Our ethos is built on an open and flat structure, encouraging growth and alignment with individual goals. We operate at the epicenter of a rapidly evolving financial landscape, requiring agility, global thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Our team is as diverse and international as the audiences we serve, united by a shared commitment to innovation, efficiency, and a positive work environment. We hire individuals who are adaptable, take initiative to fix what's broken without prompting, anticipate emerging trends, and maintain a sense of fun throughout their work.

You will gain deep, hands-on experience in the intricacies of card operations within the burgeoning fintech and crypto space. By managing complex relationships with manufacturers, networks, and clients, you will hone your project management and strategic partnership skills. You will learn to navigate and influence cross-functional teams, including product and engineering, to drive operational excellence. Successfully managing and scaling card programs will provide you with invaluable insights into the operational backbone of a global payments infrastructure, positioning you as an expert in a high-demand field and enabling you to contribute significantly to shaping a borderless financial future.
- • The Card Operations Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight of physical card program operations, ensuring that all activities align with industry best practices and regulatory compliance. This includes managing the entire lifecycle from card design and manufacturing to distribution and ongoing program management. A significant part of the role involves fostering strong, collaborative relationships with card manufacturers, processors, and payment networks like Visa and Mastercard. This collaboration is essential for monitoring service level agreements (SLAs), driving continuous improvements in card production and delivery, and ensuring that any operational issues are addressed with speed and efficiency. The manager will also play a crucial role in the strategic expansion of our card offerings by leading the onboarding process for new manufacturing partners. This requires excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and operational requirements clearly and concisely. A proactive mindset, coupled with the ability to identify potential issues before they arise and implement effective solutions, will be highly valued. The role also necessitates a strong capacity for strategic thinking, enabling the manager to anticipate future needs and contribute to the long-term vision of Rain's card operations. The ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team, collaborating closely with product development, engineering, and client success teams, will be essential for success in this role, ensuring that operational capabilities are aligned with product roadmaps and client expectations.
