• As a Case Manager at Finch Legal, you will be instrumental in ensuring the swift and thorough progression of legal cases. Your primary focus will be on the operational core of the pre-litigation phase. This involves meticulously opening new insurance claims, diligently managing the complex process of requesting and tracking medical records, securing essential police reports, and proactively addressing and resolving lien and subrogation issues. Your efforts will directly contribute to providing attorneys with complete, accurate, and timely information, thereby empowering them to build strong cases and advocate effectively for our clients.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a range of critical tasks designed to keep cases moving forward efficiently. This includes initiating and managing all communication with insurance carriers to open new claims, ensuring all necessary documentation and information are provided promptly. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of medical record requests, from initial submission to diligent follow-up and receipt, ensuring no detail is overlooked. Similarly, you will manage the process of obtaining police reports, understanding the nuances of different jurisdictions and agencies to expedite this crucial step. A significant part of your role will involve monitoring and resolving lien and subrogation issues, which often present complex challenges requiring careful negotiation and timely resolution to maximize client recovery.
• You will collaborate closely with lead paralegals, acting as a key partner in preparing cases for the demand drafting stage. This partnership requires clear communication and a deep understanding of case progression. By identifying and proactively addressing operational bottlenecks, you will play a vital role in refining our processes and enhancing overall efficiency. Your ability to anticipate potential issues and implement solutions will be crucial to maintaining the high standards of speed and accuracy that Finch Legal is known for.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in legal operations, case management, or claims handling, preferably within a personal injury context.
• Proven ability to manage complex workflows, track multiple deadlines, and maintain meticulous organization in a high-volume environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with clients, attorneys, insurance adjusters, and medical providers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a knack for identifying and resolving operational bottlenecks.
• Proficiency with legal case management software and standard office productivity tools.
