- • As a Central Business Office (CBO) Specialist II, you will facilitate accurate provider credentialing, coding, billing, posting, and collection for ProMedica Physicians and other supported entities, serving as a critical link between providers, office staff, hospitals, and payor plans to ensure timely and compliant reimbursement processes.
- • You will maintain provider information in credentialing software, review and assign CPT and ICD-10 codes for professional services, and perform registration, billing, follow-up, and collection functions for all payors, including self-pay, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards.
- • You will work within ProMedica’s PPG CBO department, supporting a mission-driven, not-for-profit healthcare organization headquartered in Toledo, Ohio, that serves communities across nine states and operates 10 hospitals with over 1,300 providers and 2,300 physicians and advanced practice providers.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in healthcare revenue cycle operations, gain proficiency in medical coding and credentialing systems, and contribute to the financial integrity and operational efficiency of a leading healthcare system while building a stable career in medical billing and administration.
🎯 Requirements
- • High school diploma or equivalent
- • Experience reading hospital or physician medical records
- • Detailed understanding of CPT and ICD-9 (10) coding
- • Detailed understanding of professional charging processes
- • Experience completing hospital and payor credentialing forms
- • 3 years of experience in professional/physician credentialing, registration, billing, customer service, or collection, with at least 2 years specific to credentialing and/or billing office work
