📋 Description

  • • As a CDD Team Leader at Allica Bank, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our Customer Due Diligence (CDD) processes, specifically focusing on Know Your Business (KYB) and Know Your Customer (KYC) protocols. This pivotal role is designed to guarantee an exceptional customer experience throughout the onboarding and ongoing due diligence phases, acting as a critical link between our customers and the bank's operational and commercial functions.
  • • You will play an instrumental part in managing and developing a high-performing team dedicated to CDD, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and adherence to stringent regulatory standards. Your leadership will directly impact the bank's ability to onboard clients smoothly and maintain compliance, thereby safeguarding Allica's reputation and operational resilience.
  • • A key responsibility involves collaborating closely with various internal departments, including Business Relationship Managers, Underwriting teams, and Asset Finance specialists. This cross-functional engagement ensures that the CDD process is seamlessly integrated with the broader lending and client management lifecycle, providing vital support and requirements for continuous enhancement of our services.
  • • The role encompasses comprehensive team management duties, including the recruitment, induction, and ongoing performance management of new and existing team members. You will be responsible for setting clear objectives, providing constructive feedback, and facilitating training and development opportunities to cultivate a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • • Workflow management is a critical aspect of this position. You will be tasked with prioritizing tasks, ensuring the team consistently meets Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and quality benchmarks, and proactively identifying and escalating any potential issues or concerns to senior management.
  • • You will also be responsible for maintaining and updating various team trackers, such as 'Run the Bank' reports, KYB workflow status, and campaign impact analyses, ensuring data accuracy for reporting and decision-making.
  • • In addition to team leadership, you will handle delegated authorities, which may include conducting four-eye checks, approving payments, and signing off on drawdowns, demonstrating a high level of trust and responsibility.
  • • As the first point of contact for team queries, you will triage issues effectively, resolving them at the earliest opportunity or escalating them appropriately to the Manager, thereby ensuring efficient problem resolution.
  • • The creation, maintenance, and management of departmental procedures for your area of operation are essential. This includes conducting ongoing Quality Control (QC) assessments, sharing best practices, and identifying areas where additional support or training is needed for team members.
  • • You will leverage strong reporting skills, utilizing tools such as Excel, SharePoint, and potentially SQL, to provide insightful analysis and updates on team performance and operational metrics.
  • • Principal accountabilities include managing your workload and daily activities to meet team SLAs and quality expectations, fostering strong working relationships with internal stakeholders like Underwriting and Business Relationship Managers to ensure smooth communication and timely exchange of information.
  • • Maintaining accurate and true records for each case, including a clear sanction audit trail, is paramount. You will ensure strict compliance with the Bank's policies, procedures, and guidelines, as well as all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements, always acting to protect the Bank's business.
  • • Upholding the Bank's brand and cultural values is expected, with all accountabilities performed in accordance with Allica's policies and procedures, prioritizing good client outcomes in all decision-making.
  • • Effective communication with team members, senior management, and other interested parties is crucial to ensure that essential situational features are understood, enabling informed decisions.
  • • You will communicate with Introducers and Business Relationship Managers to gather necessary documentation for assessing loan applications and maintain clear, accurate internal records for Management Information (MI) and monitoring purposes.
  • • Finally, you will maintain and update customer records, including data entry into FMS, the Core Banking system, ensuring data integrity across all platforms.
