📋 Description
- • As a CDD Team Leader at Allica Bank, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our Customer Due Diligence (CDD) processes, specifically focusing on Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) protocols. This pivotal role is designed to guarantee an exceptional customer experience throughout the entire lifecycle of our client relationships, from initial onboarding to ongoing due diligence.
- • You will play a critical role in collaborating with various departments across the bank, including Business Relationship Managers, Underwriting teams, and Asset Finance specialists. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing and optimizing workflows, ensuring that the CDD team operates at peak performance and adheres to the highest standards of regulatory compliance and internal policy.
- • To effectively manage team capacity and respond to fluctuating workloads, the KYB team, under your leadership, will also be responsible for completing end-to-end cases, demonstrating agility and a commitment to service delivery.
- • Your responsibilities will encompass the full spectrum of team leadership. This includes the recruitment and comprehensive induction of new team members, fostering a supportive and high-performing environment through effective team management, quality assurance, and productivity monitoring for all Business As Usual (BAU) activities.
- • Performance management will be a key aspect of your role, involving targeted training and development plans to nurture individual and team growth. You will also be responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with third-party vendors and key internal Allica contacts, ensuring seamless collaboration.
- • Engaging with Lending Squads will be crucial, where you will provide essential requirements for continuous improvement initiatives and actively support the successful delivery of projects that enhance our operational capabilities.
- • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date team trackers, including those for Run the Bank, KYB workflow, and campaign impact, is essential for operational visibility and strategic decision-making.
- • You will be the primary owner of workflow management, which involves strategically prioritizing tasks, ensuring strict adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and proactively escalating any concerns or issues that may arise.
- • The role may involve delegated authority for critical functions such as agreed 4-eye checks, payment approvals, and drawdown sign-offs, underscoring the trust and responsibility placed in this position.
- • As the first point of contact for your team's queries, you will be adept at triaging issues before any necessary escalation to your Manager, ensuring efficient problem resolution.
- • A significant part of your role will involve the creation, maintenance, and management of comprehensive procedures for your operational area, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance.
- • You will conduct ongoing Quality Control (QC) assessments, sharing best practices, identifying areas for improvement, and providing targeted support and training to team members.
- • Strong reporting skills are essential, utilizing tools such as Excel, SharePoint, or SQL to provide insightful data analysis and performance metrics.
- • You are expected to manage your workload and working day effectively to ensure consistent adherence to the team’s service level agreements and quality expectations.
- • Building and maintaining robust working relationships with all areas of the business is paramount to ensure the smooth and timely exchange of correspondence and communication, fostering a collaborative environment.
- • Maintaining true and accurate records for each case, including a clear sanction audit trail, is a non-negotiable aspect of the role, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- • You will ensure strict compliance with the Bank’s policies, procedures, and guidelines, alongside all appropriate regulatory and statutory requirements, implementing proactive measures to protect the Bank’s business at all times.
- • Adherence to the Bank’s brand and culture values is expected, ensuring all accountabilities are undertaken in accordance with Allica’s policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on good client outcomes guiding all decisions.
- • Effective communication of relevant information to team members, senior management, and other interested parties is vital, ensuring that essential features of any situation are clearly understood to enable informed decision-making.
- • You will communicate with Introducers and Business Relationship Managers to gather any necessary documentation required to assess loan applications, streamlining the process.
- • Maintaining clear and accurate internal records for Management Information (MI) and monitoring purposes is crucial for performance tracking and strategic planning.
- • You will diligently maintain and update customer records, including accurate data entry into FMS, the Core Banking system, ensuring data integrity.
- • This role is fundamental to Allica Bank’s mission of supporting established SMEs by ensuring a secure and compliant banking environment, contributing directly to the bank's rapid growth and reputation.
