- • The CEO-in-Training (CIT) Program at Pinnacle Senior Living, part of The Pennant Group, is a high-impact leadership development initiative designed to prepare entrepreneurial leaders to run assisted living, independent living, or memory care communities. This salaried, full-time training program spans 3–6 months and offers a direct pathway to an Executive Director role, with continued mentorship and operational support from experienced partners. The role is ideal for driven individuals passionate about senior care who want to make a tangible difference in residents’ lives while building executive-level leadership skills.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include engaging in immersive, on-the-job training across operational, clinical care, and administrative functions; shadowing department heads and front-line staff to understand the rhythms of community life; leading real-time projects that drive meaningful improvements in host communities; studying state regulations and best practices in senior living operations; and aligning personal leadership and interpersonal skills with Pinnacle’s core values and mission. CITs are entrusted with real responsibility from day one, contributing to team culture, resident satisfaction, and operational excellence under the guidance of an experienced Executive Director/CEO.
- • The Pennant Group is a growing national network with over 250 affiliated locations across 17 states, providing home health, hospice, and senior living services. Pinnacle Senior Living operates with local autonomy while benefiting from centralized support in clinical, legal, accounting, IT, and HR functions from Pennant Services. This structure empowers local leaders to innovate and lead with ownership, backed by the stability and resources of a publicly traded organization (NASDAQ: PNTG). The company’s culture is rooted in six core values: Customer Second, Accountability, Passion for Learning, Love One Another, Intelligent Risk Taking, Celebrate, and Ownership — principles that guide decision-making and foster environments where both residents and employees thrive.
- • Participants in the CIT program will develop advanced competencies in senior living operations, financial stewardship, team leadership, and regulatory compliance. They will gain hands-on experience in change management, staff development, and resident-centered care models, positioning them for long-term success as Executive Directors or in other senior leadership roles within the organization. The program emphasizes mentorship, experiential learning, and measurable impact, enabling CITs to build a legacy of leadership in a mission-driven industry while preparing for greater responsibility and career advancement within The Pennant Group’s expanding network.
