  • • The General Manager, Joist is a senior business leadership role accountable for the performance, strategy, and execution of the Joist product within EverCommerce’s EverPro Invoicing portfolio, owning revenue, retention, engagement, and profitability outcomes without direct authority over Product, Engineering, or Marketing teams.
  • • Day to day, the role involves owning Joist’s business outcomes by accepting or rejecting commitments within the portfolio planning cadence, translating growth insights into credible business commitments, and taking accountability for performance variance through corrective action; defining and evolving the Joist business strategy, setting clear priorities and sequencing across initiatives, making explicit trade-offs under capacity constraints, and aligning investments with portfolio-level objectives; aligning Product, Engineering, Marketing, Growth, and Support around business priorities, negotiating capacity and timelines at peer level with functional leaders, acting as the final business decision-maker for Joist trade-offs, and ensuring execution maps directly to committed business objectives; partnering with the Head of SaaS Growth to evaluate and adopt scalable growth initiatives, collaborating with the Payments Business Owner to align monetization strategy, and representing Joist priorities within horizontal initiatives; partnering with the Director of Planning & Insights to set credible commitments, participating in weekly commitment reviews and monthly business reviews, surfacing risks early to make clear recommit/decommit decisions, and contributing to quarterly OKRs and semi-annual strategic planning.
  • • The EverPro business within EverCommerce delivers tailored SaaS solutions for home and field service small businesses, helping them operate more efficiently and improve customer touchpoints across scheduling, job tracking, quoting, invoicing, payments processing, customer relationship management, and reputation management; EverCommerce is a leading service commerce platform on a mission to digitally transform the service economy with end-to-end SaaS solutions that empower over 700,000 customers in Home & Field Services, Health Services, and Wellness industries.
  • • In this role, the individual will develop advanced business ownership and P&L accountability skills in a structured portfolio operating model, sharpen strategic prioritization and trade-off discipline under constraints, and build influence-based leadership capabilities by driving alignment across cross-functional teams without direct authority, preparing them for broader enterprise leadership roles within a high-growth, innovative SaaS company.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 10+ years in SaaS leadership roles with accountability for business-level outcomes such as revenue, retention, or P&L results
  • • Demonstrated ability to negotiate cross-functional capacity and make decisions without direct authority over Product, Engineering, or Marketing teams
  • • Experience operating within structured planning and performance cadences, including commitment reviews, OKRs, and strategic planning processes
  • • Strong commercial judgment and trade-off discipline, with comfort making decisions under uncertainty and ambiguity
  • • Excellent executive communication skills and a high ownership mentality, characterized by clear decision-making and accountability
  • • Bonus: Experience in PLG SaaS or SMB SaaS environments, and/or experience operating within a portfolio or matrixed organizational structure
