  • • As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play a pivotal role in our night shift operations, ensuring the highest standards of pharmacy service for our patients and partner organizations.

  • • Reporting directly to the Pharmacy Supervisor, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a safe and efficient pharmacy environment at the heart of patient care.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be to manage pharmacy inventory, ensuring that all medications and supplies are adequately stocked, organized, and readily available for dispensing.
  • • You will meticulously prepare, fill, and label prescription orders, dispensing medications accurately under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
  • • This includes the careful selection of pre-packaged medications or obtaining stock containers as required for prescription fulfillment.
  • • A key part of your role will involve pre-packaging oral and external medications, utilizing various specialized packaging and labeling equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • • You will be responsible for receiving and processing physician orders, reviewing them for completeness and accuracy, and verifying drug formulary availability.
  • • Collecting essential patient information for prescriptions and diligently maintaining the Pharmacy Patient Medication Profiles will be crucial for accurate record-keeping and patient safety.
  • • You will expertly interpret physician's directions for prescriptions and accurately type prescription labels, ensuring all necessary information is present and legible.
  • • Under the guidance of a licensed Pharmacist, you will assist in ordering medications and pharmaceutical supplies, contributing to efficient supply chain management.
  • • Upon receiving delivered orders, you will meticulously verify contents against orders, restock medication shelves and supply bins, and diligently rotate stock to remove outdated drugs.
  • • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment, including all pharmacy equipment and work counters, is paramount to our operational excellence.
  • • You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, contributing to inventory control and cost management.
  • • This role requires a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.
  • • You will work closely with pharmacists and other pharmacy technicians to ensure seamless workflow and timely dispensing of medications.
  • • The night shift schedule (Sunday-Wednesday, 5:30 PM - 4:00 AM) requires individuals who are self-motivated and can maintain focus and productivity during off-peak hours.

  • • Embrace the challenge of working with Hazardous Drugs (HD), adhering strictly to safety protocols and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, respiratory protection, gowns, and other necessary items.
  • • You will undergo medical evaluation to ensure you can safely wear respiratory protection, including N95 masks, full-face respirators, SCBA, or PAPRs.
  • • Be prepared for physical demands, including walking up to 50% of the time, standing up to 100%, squatting and bending up to 20%, and lifting up to 50 lbs throughout a twelve-hour shift.
  • • Understand and acknowledge the potential risks associated with handling Hazardous Drugs (HD), including teratogenicity, carcinogenicity, and reproductive effects, and confirm your willingness to work with these substances.
  • • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the pharmacy department, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and patient care.
  • • Uphold all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.
  • • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily operational goals and ensure the smooth functioning of the pharmacy.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Current and valid registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Arizona.
  • • Proven experience in a pharmacy setting, with a strong understanding of dispensing procedures, inventory management, and prescription processing.
  • • Ability to work the night shift schedule: Sunday-Wednesday, 5:30 PM - 4:00 AM.
  • • Willingness and ability to work with Hazardous Drugs (HD) and adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • • Must be able to pass a medical evaluation for respiratory protection use.
  • • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • • Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
